✨ Empowering the Next Generation of Leaders ✨
Last week, the Women of AT&T Southern California Chapter proudly co-hosted the Non-Traditional Career Day at Mt. San Antonio College alongside Stemsational — marking our second consecutive year supporting this impactful initiative.
This year, we welcomed 220 high school students from 10 schools — an increase of 50 students from last year. The continued growth reflects the strong demand for access, exposure, and representation in career exploration.
We were honored to feature guest speaker Brian Santacruz, who inspired students with insights into the rapidly evolving world of cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and quantum technology. His book “Cyber Security in the AI & Quantum Era” helped spark important conversations about preparing for the careers of tomorrow.
Students engaged directly with professionals from a wide range of industries, including:
• FedEx
• Microsoft
• National College Resources Foundation
• Society of Women Engineers
• Valley Vista Services
• Walnut Valley Water District
• Raising Cane’s
• California High-Speed Rail Authority
• Another EP Publishing
• Wescom Credit Union
• Primerica
• Los Angeles County Fire Department
• Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department
From technology and engineering to public safety, utilities, finance, logistics, and publishing, students had the opportunity to connect with professionals who reflect the diversity of the communities we serve.
At Women of AT&T, we believe representation, access, and mentorship are powerful drivers of opportunity. By creating spaces like this, we are helping students expand their vision of what’s possible and equipping them with the confidence to pursue non-traditional and emerging career paths.
Thank you to our partners, sponsors, volunteers, and speakers who made this event possible. We look forward to continuing to grow this impact in the years ahead.
