Our Big Kitchen Los Angeles

A huge thank you to the Netflix US team for spending the day with us at OBKLA.

There’s something really special about seeing a team step away from their usual day and come together simply to give. From prepping food to working side by side, every person played a part in helping us care for families in our community.

Days like this are a reminder that impact is built through people choosing to show up with their time, their energy, and their hands.

We’re so grateful to Netflix for being part of our kitchen and our mission. Thank you for giving your time so generously and helping us do what we do each week.

August was a month of showing up. 🧡

From every meal prepared to every volunteer who stepped through our doors, each day was another reminder of what’s possible when a community chooses to care.

So many hands, so much heart, and countless moments of kindness came together to make a real difference throughout the month.

We’re so grateful to everyone who gave their time, supported our work, and helped make August what it was.

This is what community in action looks like.

80 years worth celebrating. 🧡✨

Janie Orenstein chose to celebrate this incredible milestone by giving back alongside the people she loves. A beautiful reminder that some of the best celebrations are the ones that bring a little more good into the world.

Happy 80th, Janie! 🎂🧡

A big thank you to the team at Amazon for joining us for a volunteer session.

These volunteer days are a meaningful opportunity for teams to come together outside of the workplace, give back, and make a direct impact in our community.

The Amazon team rolled up their sleeves to help prepare meals for individuals and families who rely on OBKLA each week. Every set of hands helps us reach more people, prepare more meals, and continue showing up for our community.

We’re so grateful to Amazon for spending their time with us and being part of our mission.

Some of the best team days happen outside the office.
We loved welcoming UTA into the OKLA kitchen for a day centered around giving back. From prepping and packing to working side by side, the team jumped right in to help us get meals ready for members of our community.
It’s always incredible to see what can happen when a group comes together with a shared purpose.
Every set of hands helps us reach more people, prepare more meals, and continue the work happening in our kitchen each week.
Thank you, UTA, for bringing your time, energy, and teamwork to OBKLA. We loved having you with us! UTA
