EVERLASTING LIGHT
The call came four years ago,
while I sat in therapy,
my heart open,
a patient’s words fading into silence.
In that instant, life paused,
the weight of loss crashing down,
and yet, your love remains.
Though time has passed,
your presence surrounds me,
woven into my days,
in quiet moments,
in laughter shared,
in the lessons you taught,
your voice guiding me still.
This year, we gathered,
your spirit guiding us,
as we organized Giacôbê Flood Assistance 2025.
Our nieces and nephew,
with hearts full of purpose,
assessed the needs of each family,
ensuring help reached their hands,
spreading seeds of hope.
Together, we honor you,
keeping your memory alive,
serving those you cared for,
uplifting the villages you loved.
Their hard work and dedication,
a reflection of your legacy,
reminding us to love deeply,
to serve with grace,
to live fully in your memory.
Though you are gone,
your light continues to shine,
a guiding force in our hearts,
and as we remember you today,
we carry your love with us,
forever cherished,
always inspiring.
