Sacred Resistance is not about shouting louder than the world or matching outrage with outrage. It is discipleship in motion: a living response to the Gospel that moves us to stand with the outcast, not against an enemy. Where political defiance draws battle lines, Sacred Resistance builds bridges through love and presence.

We walk with those who are told they do not belong, practicing accompaniment: like Christ did: not from ideology, but from the deep well of mercy. Gospel-centered advocacy means letting love lead, so our actions echo the heart of the Gospel: solidarity, not spectacle.

Let us resist not out of anger, but holy compassion. Let our faith disrupt despair with hope.

Our bishops assure us, "You Are Not Alone." But what does true accompaniment mean beyond words? At Migrant Christ, we believe every parish is called to be sanctuary: a living answer to prayer, a presence for those journeying alone or afraid.

Contemplative action begins with listening: praying beside, not just for. It means opening our doors and hearts to migrants and mixed-status families, making their struggles our own. Sacred Resistance is not defiance, but discipleship embodied: love moving quietly into the world’s wounds.

This week: let your parish’s prayer become presence. Reach out. Stand with. Transform solitude into solidarity. The Gospel comes alive when we walk together.

Today—on St. Frances Xavier (Mother) Cabrini’s feast day—we officially launch Migrant Christ. There’s a reason this day matters, and it has everything to do with the way God shows up in the lives of people on the move. Mother Cabrini crossed oceans with nothing but faith and courage. Our Lady of Guadalupe met an Indigenous man on a lonely hill and spoke hope into a world marked by fear. Their stories shape our mission.

In our newest blog post, “This Is Why Migrant Christ Had to Launch Today,” we reflect on how Cabrini and Guadalupe guide us as we begin this work. Their lives remind us that accompaniment is not an idea—it’s a way of walking with those who carry heavy burdens.

Read the full reflection and join us as we take our first steps together.

Migrant Christ Inc. is a new interfaith movement to welcome, protect, promote, and integrate migrant families. Together, we answer the Gospel call.
