Two-year-old Samson has officially clocked in at Dachshunds and Friends Rescue—and rumor has it he’s part terrier, part dachshund… which basically means he’s 100% adorable chaos in a 21 lb. low-rider body. He just had his “huevos ranchero-ed“ and can no longer make mini Samsons. All vaccines on board and now ready for his forever family.
Meet Samson: professional shadow, cuddle enthusiast, and self-appointed life coach. If you sit down, he sits with you. If you stand up, he supervises. If you go to the bathroom… well, privacy is now a group activity. He lives for being close to his people, both adults and kids, and considers personal space more of a suggestion than a rule.
This boy is all heart and zero chill when it comes to affection. He thrives on cuddles and will happily glue himself to your side like a very loving, slightly wiggly accessory. Looking for a dog who respects boundaries? Samson would like to respectfully decline that job.
He’s also a social butterfly with other dogs—bringing energy, playfulness, and a running commentary to every interaction. Yes, he can be a bit vocal. He has a job to do and that is to alert you to the riff-raff and shenanigans going on outside, at the front door, or in the backyard. He’s your personal security guard.
Now let’s talk playtime……Samson loves fetch. He’ll chase, retrieve, and proudly show off his skills like he’s training for the Dog Olympics. And he’s not just cute—he’s smart too. Fully potty trained, kennel trained, and responsive with just one command (most of the time), he’s basically the overachiever of the dog park.
Samson would thrive in a home with another young, playful dog who can keep up with his zest for life. Because he’s such an expressive little guy, apartment or condo living isn’t his scene—unless your neighbors also enjoy his play-by-play announcements.
Currently couch surfing in Glendora, CA (he insists it’s “temporary luxury accommodations”), Samson is ready to find his forever home.
He’s not just a pet—he’s a loyal sidekick, a built-in best friend, and a daily source of laughs. Adopt Samson… and say goodbye to boring days forever.

Check out my pics and video. Hi it’s me, Luke, and I’m still looking for my forever family. I am a sweet boy who loves to run, jump and play. I am good on a leash and almost completely potty trained. I am a supposedly a Chihuahua/Corgi mix with super sized ears and the cutest tail. Although it’s not my favorite I am also pen/crate trained for when my foster family has to leave me home alone. I’m headed to get neutered on Saturday and will be ready to start my next adventure with my forever family. Staying without paying in Fontana, Ca. Puppy Luke is 5 months old.

It’s Wienerfest. Yes, that kind of wiener. No buns, all attitude.
Expect:
🌭 Tiny legs, big egos
🌭 Sand-covered zoomies at unsafe speeds
🌭 A suspicious number of dogs named Oscar
🌭 Me pretending I’m not emotionally attached to every single one
There may or may not be a “Longest Wiener” contest, and yes, it will get weird.
Bring your dog, your friends, or just yourself if you’re ready to be judged by a pack of sunbathing dachshunds.
May 30. The beach. Come witness the most chaotic, adorable sausage convention of the year.

TURN THE SOUND UP - Puppy Kirk sprawled out like a sleepy giant, going “ZZZZZ… SNORE…” as the whole room fills with cozy nap vibes. He’s dreaming about having a forever home then all of a sudden…….yikes!!

Puppy Kirk - Say It Isn’t So……..we haven’t received one application for puppy Kirk. Please help us find his forever home by sharing. Here he is playing at the dog park. He’s a wannabe dachshund…. actually mom is chi mix and dad is missing in action. Anyways……he’s five months old, playful, energetic, goofy and an all around swell guy. He was born in the shelter which broke our hearts…..but there are better days ahead. His two brothers are short and squat, we don’t know where Kirk got his runway model legs from. Please share this post and help us get Kirk adopted. It’s always difficult being a taller dog in a short dog rescue because you always get overlooked.
