Summer Garden Care officially begins this week! 🌱☀️
Over the next few months, our Garden Rangers will be caring for more than 200 school gardens across Los Angeles County, helping keep them thriving while students are away for summer break.
Sometimes the gardens we visit aren’t even the ones we’ve cared for throughout the school year, which makes discovering each garden’s unique successes even more exciting. One of those successes is this sweet little garden at Las Flores Elementary in Bellflower, where Ranger Annie planted butternut squash early enough to produce more than 20 squash already on the vine—with more appearing every day!
It’s always so much fun to see what is growing across our network of school gardens and to help ensure every garden is healthy, productive, and ready to welcome students back in the fall. 🥕🌻🍅
