Please join us on July 26th at the Hermosa Beach Community theater to watch a documentary about human trafficking in California. The film will be followed by QNA with the Emmy award winning director Melody C. Miller.

It’s Giving Tuesday! 🙏🏻 Please consider purchasing holiday gifts for survivors of human trafficking. It is so important for these survivors to feel a sense of normalcy at the holidays after they have had many holidays stolen from them.

Most items need to be ordered by the end of the week, so please consider doing so sooner rather than later. The link for the registry to do so is in our bio.

Kiran Gupta is an Associate Director at Cast where she oversees grant funding and communications. Before Cast, Kiran held various fundraising and philanthropy roles at international development organizations in London including ActionAid and Women for Women International. Her passion is writing and she is a board member at New Internationalist magazine. After living in Europe for 25 years, Kiran is back in her first home of Los Angeles.

We had a great time last night with the .rotary at Three Weavers Brewing. Lots of great discussion and mingling between our two clubs.

Please join us as we welcome Christopher Reyes.

Christopher Reyes attended St. Bernard High School and graduated in 2014. He then went on to attend UCLA and graduated in 2018 with a BA in Psychology. He is currently working at a non-profit called the New Center for Psychoanalysis as an Administrative Assistant and Training Coordinator. Christopher has been a part of the Rotary family for the last 12 years beginning with Interact in 2011. He attended RYLA in 2012 and has returned each year as a camp counselor since. He was formerly an Assistant Representative on the District Interact Board during the 2013-2014 Rotary Year. He was the former Public Relations Chair for UCLA Rotaract and helped the club grow from about 15 active members to about 35, by targeting former Interactors. He also served on the District Rotaract Board holding several positions including District Rotaract Representative while simultaneously helping the Rotary District as Social Media Co-Chair. Christopher would go on to continue Rotaract after graduating undergrad, by joining Hawthorne/Lennox (now rebranded as Beach Cities Rotaract) and is the Past President. He Co-Chaired the District Picnic last year and returned to do it again this year while also serving as Vice-President for Beach Cities and Social Media Chair for CRLU as well as one of the SAG Co-Chairs for Youth Services.
