We're excited to announce Slow Street has been installed in Koreatown! A big thank you to for sponsoring the slow streets in Koreatown's south area. You can ride your bike, take a jog, walk your dog, avoid the group that's taking the whole sidewalk without masks, and various activities. The streets that have been selected surround Koreatown to provide a good length for all of Koreatown to use. The northern area for Slow Streets will be sponsored by —more information coming soon.

You can help Koreatown Slow Streets! The best way to help is by sharing the news with neighbors & friends. We are also onboarding volunteers to monitor the signs that are in place & upright. We are also collecting feedback as Slow Street is a new program, and LADOT wants to hear how it's going within Koreatown. Visit our website Koreatown.blog/volunteer to learn more, link at .blog

We are ensuring the safety of the community as the program continues to run. We have set up forms, website, phone numbers, and emails to collect feedback, whether in English, Spanish, Korean or other languages. Please tell us what you think. @ Wilshire Center - Koreatown

We don't have enough green space and we don't have enough bike lanes. The application for slow streets has been filled and we are awaiting confirmation! Slow streets opens the streets to the community for various activities such as running, cycling, walk, playing, and other activities the community needs. There will be two loops north and south. KIWA has kindly sponsored the south loop. We are waiting to hear back from KYCC if they'll sponsor the north loop. Find out more or if you're interested in volunteering drop a comment below. We are glad a lot of support is coming from the community. We may not get to view all the things that goes around. Such as a neighbor giving an extra item to a neighbor, donations, volunteering and most importantly staying home to protect each other. A lot of this work with or without quarantine happens in the background. We will show you the work that happens around.

Koreatown has one of the highest density community. This means more of our neighbors might need help during this COVID-19 pandemic. As neighbors we can do more for those vulnerable due to the health concerns.

How can you help EVN? You can share with neighbors, friends & family. You can volunteer to provide needed items to our volunerable community. And you can also follow . Link in bio.

People riding escooters last year without a care in the world. Brave enough to wear shorts on a escooter. Most of our photography is taken on a single day and shared throughout the year. We been thinking of documenting Koreatown during quarantine. We have noticed a lot of business closing or being unable to operate during these times.

There is a lot going on within Koreatown. As we all know we must stay home to protect vulnerable community members and not overwhelm hospitals. There are some community members who are not able to access food or services due to various circumstances. We are part of many networks that are beginning to start providing services or requesting volunteers to sign up. There is a lot more to come. If you want to see networks or help add visit our community website.

It's going be a long few days, everyone stay safe during this time. This outbreak hit us more than we expected it to do so. We're currently working on other projects to keep our community safe and informed. We'll continue to post but took some time to make choices.
