Mr. Kamel Krifa is a born in 🇹🇳Tunis, Tunisia, North Africa, Middle East.
A 🇧🇪Belgian-raised martial artist, chef, and Hollywood action veteran who, at 7️⃣3️⃣ in 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣6️⃣, has spent over 4️⃣ decades calling Los Angeles home as an American citizen. 🇺🇸🌎🦅
From Tunis to Belgium to the gold streets of Hollywood, his life reads like an action film script — Metal Welder,👨🏼🏭 French Seafood Restaurateur, 🦞👨🏼🍳and Master of Asian Martial Arts. 🤺🥊🥋
All of this, before his first call sheet into the film world of the Hollywood Golden Era.
As he was raised in Belgium 🇧🇪 through childhood with his parents, he learns to speak French, Arabic & English, in his teen years, and into young adulthood.
He started training in multiple disciplines of Asian Martial Arts as a boy at 6 years old and never stopped til today.
In the same period, he took up parkour and gym training, building the athletic foundation with respect from sportsmen under him, that would define his screen career.
Parkour was originated in France,🇫🇷 famous in Brazil 🇧🇷and the world now, he embraced its healthy lifestyle alongside the discipline of traditional 🇨🇳🍱🥋Chinese Martial Arts from classes as a child to teen.
For now, he speaks and writes in French English & American English, Belgian French, Belgian Dutch, German, Flemish, Arabic, Farsi-Persian & some Italian.🇺🇸🇫🇷🇧🇪🇩🇪🇮🇷🇮🇹
As a child, his work life began as a teenager assisting his father in metal welding, as the oldest brother in his family.
He had brothers and sisters, cousins all his family, they’re not in the movie industry as they lead regular lives in Belgium.🇧🇪
He ran his culinary career as Chef Kamel or Chef Krifa from his early twenties to til thirties.
He then pursued the culinary arts, he was admitted to the Hotellerie School in Bizert and even though he was the youngest in his culinary class, he won the “Number One Student Award”1️⃣🏅🏆 as a culinary student for the year.
His education continued at Hotelier & Restaurant schools in Germany🇩🇪 and Belgium🇧🇪 where he held apprenticeships from busboy to waiter to 3️⃣rd Maître D (Captain), the front of the house for fine dining restaurants and hotels.
This for Hilton Hotel in Tunisia,🇹🇳 Movenpick in Germany🇩🇪and Hotel Westbury in Brussels, Belgium 🇧🇪 which are 7️⃣⭐ stars hotel restaurants.🍽️🍴
Later on, he opened his own and managed his Fine French restaurant, La Vague in Brussels, Belgium from 1️⃣9️⃣8️⃣0️⃣ to 1️⃣9️⃣8️⃣9️⃣. 🇫🇷🇧🇪
During the period from 1️⃣9️⃣7️⃣7️⃣ to 1️⃣9️⃣8️⃣0️⃣, he was the Director of Operations for the Food and Beverage, Department of Hotel Bedford in Brussels, Belgium. 🇧🇪
In his ability, he managed 3️⃣ restaurants and from 1️⃣9️⃣7️⃣4️⃣〰️1️⃣9️⃣7️⃣9️⃣, he was the restaurant Captain for L’Oasis restaurant, in Brussels, Belgium.👨🏼🍳🇧🇪
His experience includes managing staff, public relations, and dealing with day-to-day operations in running restaurant and bar services.
These early career years spanned, his early twenties2️⃣0️⃣ until the age 3️⃣6️⃣, begun in Belgium.
In his thirties, at 36, Kamel relocated to Hollywood.🌟 It was through Jean-Claude’s companionship that he relocated to the Los Angeles area and began a Hollywood acting career.
He was discovered by the famous film director Mark D'Salle, film Bloodsport, who is a prominent American 🇺🇸film producer, writer, director and actor.
This is while he was visiting a film set with Jean-Claude Van Damme, his best friend since their teen gym days in Belgium.🇧🇪
When he saw me with Jean-Claude all the time, he said "Kamel, I want to use you in Death Warrant". As they said, the Hollywood life get started his stardom !🎥💫🎇
As an Actor, he specialized in Fighter Actor Star roles in the Villain roles. This is able to showcase, his prowess in martial arts strengths and has portrayed characters of many different races from various countries.
Thus, as Tong Po, Thai-Chinese 🇹🇭🧧🇨🇳 from Kickboxer 🥊saga films franchise and Abdul Al Karim, an Arab in horseback 🐴 🐎 riding with the legion of Arab men behind him in the desert in Legionnaire film, this was leveraging with Jean-Claude Van Damme as the lead hero in this film.
He has appeared with Jean-Claude in several films including Death Warrant, Lionheart, Universal Soldier, Double Impact, Maximum Risk and Kickboxer IV.
He also appeared in Under Siege with Steven Seagal, an episode as guest star actor in Baywatch and the film, Thunder in Paradise.
Mr. Kamel Krifa ended up playing one of the killers in the prison, with a mohawk and tattoos on side of head in film.
In another film, he is the confidante of the bad guy, with Attila or known as Atilla bodyguard in other sites, played by Abdul Qissi. Then I worked on Double Impact as the barman who gets killed by Cory Everson.
As he was very happy to be involved in the movie business, because that had always been his dream.
From his start as an actor in Hollywood, he also became a film producer on multiple levels across different movies.
As he is older, Mr. Krifa at 2️⃣0️⃣ year old at that time, he trained at the same karate club as Mr. Jean-Claude Van Damme, at 1️⃣3️⃣ years old as a teenager, under Mr. Claude Goetz.
Mr. Claude Goetz was their coach. They were best friends, and after he Jean Claude became established in Hollywood, he invited him to attend The Cannes Film Festival, France. 🇫🇷
Immediately, Jean-Claude asked Kamel Krifa to become his personal trainer, as a fitness trainer and sparring partner. They worked together almost three years & til today.
When he became a Film Producer, he climbed up the ranks of film business- Associate Producer, Executive Producer, Main Producer and build his self-up as a Film Distributor alongside; as some parts as Action Star Actor.
Most of Jean-Claude films were produced as well under Kamel Krifa. They moved in tandem as a good partnership in life of working out in the gym.🤝🏻🥊🥋🥋🥊
He, Mr. Krifa was like an older brother and his personal trainer, stunt choreographer and stunt director in so many different blockbuster films.
Mr. Krifa had build a strong & healthy network among the elites of Hollywood & created a good reputation for a lifetime.
He had learnt and worked with many famous and legendary film producers, film directors, film actors, different casts and crews of all countries, races and cultures that enter the film business that fly in to work together in this glamorous world.
They had gone on to greater heights after met him as he continue to swim in this tumultuous ocean of the film business.
In all his life long journey, he is with the huge capacity to hold space for each film projects needs each time many years prepared and hard work. It was a great ordeal and nevertheless a great blessing to be in this film industry.
He was living beyond the era of the 90’s Hollywood time, which mostly accepts only the regular blondes’ men, blue eyes hero’s to be the ladies’ men image with gangsterism as that’s the film interests.
He continued on his lifelong learning process, same time as an actor in acting classes plus vocal coach classes in Hollywood.
Yes, he was an actor as the villain in the film roles, yet he keeps in support to be a good man of honour.
He was breaking the old Hollywood stigma, the mold of regular actors. That he is to be able to work as a very good disciplined man of his words, strength, bravery.
Plus, a healthy advocate of martial arts, healthy food, simple, clean living lifestyle in turn becomes the much interests of young men in the new millennium now in the 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣0️⃣'s.
He doesn’t advocate alcohol, drugs or smokes in all forms like the v**e, sh**ha, ci******es.
A role model to the young men now, as he is the senior superstar celebrity now.
