✊🏾 Juneteenth is a time to celebrate freedom, reflect on our history, and talk honestly about the future we’re building together.

Join us for our 4th Annual Juneteenth Celebration under this year’s theme: “Election Reflection: Where Do We Go From Here?”

Following the June 2nd Primary Election, we’ll reflect on issues that continue to shape Black communities — from housing and economic opportunity to public safety, education, and civic participation — and explore how local leadership and community organizing shape what comes next. We’ll engage in a discussion with candidates and leaders we endorsed this election cycle, including Fatima Iqbal-Zubair, Marissa Roy, Eunisses Hernandez, and Faizah Malik. Moderated and facilitated by our very own Taina Vargas and Jay Hockley, Sr.

Enjoy an evening of food, fun, and community featuring a panel discussion with leaders and candidates from this election cycle.

This movement is powered by people who show up for each other and believe our communities deserve better. No matter what happens next, every conversation, every hour volunteered, and every vote cast matters.

As results continue to come in, we’ll be unpacking what happened, what the results mean, and what comes next at our General Meeting on Tuesday, June 9th at 6:30 p.m.

Today’s to-do list? Vote. Vote. Vote. Vote.

Your voice matters, and today is your chance to make it heard at the ballot box.

A few things to remember before polls close:
✅ You can register to vote at your vote center today through same-day voter registration.
✅ If your name isn’t on the voter roll, you can ask for a provisional ballot and still cast your vote.
✅ If you are formerly incarcerated and living in your community, you have the right to vote in California.
✅ If you are in line before polls close, stay in line. You still have the right to vote.

Elections are shaped by the people who show up. Check in on your friends, family, and neighbors and make a plan to vote today. And if you need last minute support on who to vote for, comment “GUIDE” and we’ll DM you our voter guide.
