We are proud to endorse John Erickson for California State Senate District 24!

John is committed to people impacted by incarceration and their families. He sees our members as neighbors, leaders, and experts on what our communities need, and he keeps their voices at the center.

He also isn’t afraid to challenge the status quo. He’ll push back on what isn’t working and fight for a justice system that serves our communities.

We’re proud to call John a partner, and we trust him to carry that fight to Sacramento.

SD-24 voters: vote John Erickson on or before Tuesday, November 3. Our full voter guide is at the link in bio.

This past weekend, we hit the streets for Sarah Rascón, candidate for State Senate District 26! 🚪

Our team knocked on doors across the district, talking with voters about what matters most to them, and shared Sarah’s vision for a community where everyone can thrive.

Every conversation counts — and elections are won one door at a time, and real change happens when we show up for each other.

With ballots in mailboxes, the election is here. Stay involved, stay engaged, and make your voice heard. 🗳️

🔥 500 Actions. One powerful movement.

The election is getting closer—and this is our moment to move.

Through the 500 Actions Challenge, IJ Action members are taking action across California: knocking doors, making calls, showing up for endorsed candidates, and organizing our communities.

Because political power isn’t something we wait for. We build it—together.

✊🏾 One action at a time.
🗳️ One conversation at a time.
🔥 Until we reach 500—and keep going.

🎤 People closest to the problem should have a voice in shaping the solutions.

This past weekend, we canvassed with Assemblymember Isaac Bryan and our very own IJ Action Member Adonai asked him an important question: Why is it important for people impacted by incarceration to get involved in political campaigns?

Before serving in the California State Assembly, Isaac Bryan was a community organizer working to advance racial justice and address the harms of incarceration. ✊🏽

Since taking office in 2021, he’s authored legislation to increase wages for incarcerated firefighters, fought to expand voting rights, and strengthen protections for people impacted by incarceration and their families.

That’s why we endorsed him and why we’re knocking on doors this Saturday, September 19th to ensure he continues this righteous work in the Capitol.

📣 Comment “ISAAC” to join us this Saturday and we’ll DM you the link to register and volunteer.
