Prisons are some of the least transparent institutions in public life. Across the country, people inside risk retaliation, isolation, and punishment simply for speaking to reporters or documenting abuse.

We’re partnering with , and to demand transparency from our prison systems.

We are incredibly proud of 2025 Ambassadors JeiJei Webster, Dena Oaa, and Heather C. Jarvis on winning a silver Telly Award in the social impact series category! They worked so hard to create powerful films that challenge stigma, uplift voices of those directly impacted by the justice system, and tell honest stories about reentry, healing, and survival.

Help us congratulate these community leaders turned *award-winning filmmakers! 💐💐💐

At Represent Justice, we know that storytelling and advocacy are powerful acts of leadership, and that wellness must be part of the process, too.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re reaffirming something we believe deeply: justice work should never come at the cost of your well-being. At RJ, care is dignity-centered, trauma-informed, and rooted in respect for our program participants’ lived experience.

Big thanks to for sharing her practice with our 2026 Ambassador class at last week’s impact training. 💙💛

The ANVOO HSV - Alabama Non-Violent Offenders Organization is a community-rooted organization fighting for justice, dignity, and second chances for people impacted by Alabama’s criminal legal system.

Led by directly impacted individuals and families, ANVOO advocates for policy change, raises awareness about the realities of incarceration, and supports efforts to bring hope, healing, and opportunity to those too often left behind.

Their work helps shine a much needed light on the need for a more fair and compassionate system in Alabama. Our 2024 Ambassador Jessie Mabrey continues to fight for children of incarcerated parents!

There’s no better embodiment of second chances than ICAN (Incarcerated Children’s Advocacy Network), a national network of formerly incarcerated adults who were sentenced to extreme or life sentences as children. A program of the Campaign for the Fair Sentencing of Youth (CFSY), ICAN empowers its members to drive community change and advocates for the end of extreme sentencing of children.

We’re honored to partner with CFSY to push for an end to JLWOP across the country, and fortunate to have ICAN members across many of our Ambassador Program cohorts. A few of them took the time to talk about what youth justice means to them at CFSY’s recent Freedom Celebration.

Join us in elevating these voices as we uplift
