As a chartered chapter of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, AACN San Fernando Valley Chapter has been actively fostering professional growth of critical care nurses through quality educational programs and effective communication It was officially recognized as a chapter of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) in 1972. Since then it has actively fostered the p

rofessional growth of critical care nurses through quality educational programs earning awards from the AACN for its excellence in Chapter Community Education and Public Service, Collaboration and Educational Programming. It has been recognized also for its Chapter Leadership Development and promoting the value of Certification encouraging critical care nurses to be certified in their area of specialty.
