Say hello to Doug the Pug!

These little goofballs came into rescue after being pulled from a hoarding situation along with their mamas. This litter is proof that the best things come in tiny, wrinkly packages.

Doug has that classic pug charm in full effect: big personality in a compact little body, snorty snuggles, silly zoomies, and expressions that will make you laugh out loud. Affectionate doesn’t even begin to cover it! Doug wants to be wherever you are, doing whatever you’re doing, playing snuggling and giving you kisses!

The puggles are well socialized with kids and other dogs, and would likely do just fine with a dog-friendly cat in the home too. Whether you’re looking for a lap warmer, a comedy act, or your new best friend, this litter has a pup for you.

Doug is currently about 10 pounds and will likely be 25 to 30 pounds full grown.

Sweet and beautiful Amor has been waiting for a home for 186 days 😭

Amor is a 13 month old sweetheart with the gentlest soul. Before coming to us, she survived heartbreaking conditions in Mexicali, where she and her siblings were locked in a front yard and left to starve. Thankfully, kind rescuers in Mexico stepped in and gave her the TLC she desperately needed until she was healthy enough to make the trip to us. Now, Amor is safe with a foster in Barstow and slowly learning what it means to just be a happy dog. She is spending the next two weeks becoming an event more amazing dog by doing a board and train! She’s already learned so much, and is having fun showing off her tricks to earn treats 🐶

Amor is wonderful with kids, dogs, and even cats. She can still be a little shy at first, but every day her personality comes out a little more. One of her foster’s favorite moments is watching her get excited when they come home; tail wagging and happy to see her people. When she first arrived, she was too scared to even go outside on her own and had to be carried, but now she confidently heads out by herself, hangs out with the other dogs, and happily runs the fence with them.
She’s about 25-30 pounds full grown and sweet as can be. Amor will need some basic puppy training, especially because she gets so excited that she likes to jump up on people, and sometimes even onto chairs! But underneath it all is a loving, resilient little dog who is finally getting the chance she always deserved.

Amor is ready for a patient family who will continue helping her build confidence and show her how wonderful life can be.

This was Oliver at 10 weeks old.

And here he is 1.5 years later :(

Oliver originally came to Pups Without Borders as Hopper, one of our Springtime litter of 12. He was adopted as a tiny puppy, and now at about a year and a half old, he is unfortunately looking for a new home due to changes in his family’s circumstances.

Oliver has grown into the cutest scruffy little guy with a big personality and an even bigger love for his people. He is playful, loves his toys, and according to the people spending time with him now, his favorite things are pets and cuddles. He is an affectionate, happy boy who really just wants to be included and loved.

Oliver has lived with a cat and grew up alongside them, so he has experience sharing his home with a feline friend. His previous family also says he loves chew toys, enjoys running and jumping, and will happily rip the stuffing out of stuffed animals if given the opportunity! He’s still a young dog, so he’ll benefit from a family ready to continue giving him structure, exercise, playtime and all the attention he clearly loves.

Oliver was born around February 20, 2025 and is a small mixed breed. His litter was believed to be a mix of Chihuahua with possibly Maltese, Terrier and Poodle, which certainly seems to have resulted in one adorable little scruffy pup.

Oliver is already back with Pups Without Borders, and we’re excited to help this sweet boy find the family that will be his forever. If you’re looking for a playful little companion who is equally happy having fun with his toys or soaking up cuddles, Oliver may just be your guy!

We have a few amazing pups seeking fosters asap!

First we have the Bear puppies, called Bears because they look like unbelievably adorable little Bears. There are 6 more Bear babies out in Lancaster and they are very ready to leave their scary surroundings and find foster homes! We are hoping to find two fosters to take 3 pups each, or if needed, 3 fosters to take 2 each.
The Bears only need fosters for 2 weeks!

Shadow 💜 shadow is soooo sweet and we can’t believe she hasn’t been scooped up yet. She is gentle and playful and potty trained!!! She just needs a temp foster from 10/14-10/31.

Goose has been very lucky to have an amazing foster who has kept him safe and happy for over a year. So why does it absolutely break my heart that Goose has been in care for 379 days? Because we don’t want that for any of our dogs. We want every dog (in our rescue and everywhere) to have a home as soon as possible. To know that someone said “YES - you’re mine, I’m yours, we’ve got each other.” And Goose doesn’t have that. He has his foster, and he has us. But that’s not the same as having his own family, his own person.

Goose is currently being fostered in Northern CA, but he’d be happy to travel for a home. Goose is great with dogs (as long as they agree to play with him, he loooves playing), and humans of all ages. He will happily chase a cat, so ideally not cats (sorry!!!) He is potty trained, walks great on leash, and will gladly snuggle on your lap for the rest of time.
This is probably the 20th time I’ve posted Goose. I can’t wait for the day where I can post him in his furever home ❤️‍🩹
