For our August food drive, we had the helping hands of Rolling Hills UMC Youth 🫱🏽‍🫲🏼💛

We’re so grateful for the meals sponsored by Rolling Hills United Methodist Church and for the opportunity to spend time teaching the youth essential cooking skills, all while serving and giving back to our community together.

There’s something so special about bringing generations together to learn, serve, and make a difference. Thank you, Rolling Hills UMC Youth, for showing up with such big hearts! 🥹

Since celebrating our 5 year anniversary, we’ve been overwhelmed by the incredible support from our community. Thanks to the generous Amazon wishlist donations, we’re turning that love right back around by doing what we do best: giving back! Our April event 🫶🏽

In March, our organization turned five years old 🎉

We celebrated every effort and evolution by doing what we love most: Going out and talking to our community members and offering them resources. This time, since the South Bay has experienced so much heat lately, one of our board members brought a special treat — popsicles. We found that our four-legged friends especially enjoyed the refreshment.

As we move into this fifth year of Wilmington and the greater area, our volunteer leadership continues to explore the possibilities and partnerships available to us to best show up for our neighbors. If you have suggestions, or want to get involved, send us a message.

Thank you to all who have supported Hungry to Help’s journey. We couldn’t do this without you. ❤️

It’s encouraging to see members of our community being connected to temporary shelter during the many sweeps that have been happening all over Los Angeles.

At the same time, many of our undocumented neighbors are left without access to the same resources and are forced to navigate this crisis on their own.

We will continue to show up, consistently and compassionately, to ensure no one is overlooked or left behind, despite their status. Our commitment is to every member of our community, especially those who are most vulnerable.

If you’re looking for ways to give back or get involved, our DMs are always open!

We know many of our neighbors are feeling the impact of a lack of federal resources, making times tougher than usual. That’s why beginning this week Hungry to Help is opening our food pantry to the local community.
