Reparations are overdue. It is heartbreaking and infuriating to live in a world where whiteness is uplifted and protected to the highest degree and Black lives not valued. 6 years since people were posting black squares, where we began to understand what performative activism meant, and when we saw our numbers in the streets. Violence, injustice, terror against these communities STILL are normalized in the year 2026. If you are a white person or NB POC and want some advice on starting a mutual aid project or want to chat about ways you can take action, feel free to message me. A reminder that I started this project as a way for me to share tangible resources with the Black trans community first and foremost. I’m a cishet Asian woman with an understanding of intersectionality and diverse people surrounding me in my life, and unfortunately, I have had extremely terrible interactions and disrespectful ass conversations with yt women/queer folks who really don’t and haven’t done any work on racial bias. Understand that your whiteness comes before your other identities. As someone who experiences racism and misogyny, I can only understand a mere crumb of what Black trans folks experience and of course I can lend my time and skills to help in the small way I know how to (understandably a privilege in itself). White folks: people of color do not owe you labor and shouldn’t carry the brunt of doing work to try to unoppress ourselves from a system that YOUR ancestors set up; you should be doing more. Let’s do better and recognize white privilege and how the system is set up to benefit and protect you above all else, and actually put in some effort to uplift and care about Black people and true liberation. Your complacency causes harm in more ways than you can even imagine.

Trans people have existed and always will 💫
Fierce is fierce! Turning the short hair into a headband and drawing in a fab 50s bouffant is everything and makes me emotional. This photo strip is a historic artifact
