We now have a home on our website for blogpost summaries written by volunteers who attended and summarized each presentation at the Fire Response Convening earlier this year!

🥾🍻 Join us for CALA’s second annual Hike and Brew, a scenic canyon hike along the Gould Mesa trail, then wind down with food and drinks at The Good Neighbor Bar in Altadena.

🐶 Family and furry friends are welcome to join!

Date and Time: Saturday July 11th
Meet up at 2:30pm | Hike starts at 3pm

🥾⛰️ Hike details:
Gould Mesa trail near JPL

🔗 Google maps link to hike meetup location is on our linktree.

🎒 What to bring:
· Appropriate shoes for a dirt/rock trail
· Water (recommended at least 1 liter)
· Trekking poles if needed
· Snacks
· Sunscreen
· Hat
· Bug spray
· Any medications you may need

This is a community hike and everyone will be responsible for their own safety.

Hello CALA friends! Today, we’re sharing an exciting event coming up at the Getty. Read more below! ⬇️

Please join us at the Getty Center on Saturday, June 6 at 3 PM for the premiere of Ofelia and Rosanna Esparza: Made to Remember, a short film exploring the philosophy of creation and conservation in the work of these iconic LA-based altar makers.

The screening will be followed by an artist Q&A with Ofelia and Rosanna moderated by Laleña Vellanoweth, Conservation and Collections Manager for the Civic Art Division of Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture. The program will conclude with a reception.
