Save Lives With Clean Water

Save Lives With Clean Water I learned that not only are people poor and starving, but at least 663 million of us don't even have access to safe clean water.

There are 663 million people are on this planet who don’t have access to clean water.

There will be about 1 billion more mouths to feed worldwide by 2025 and global agriculture alone will require another 1 trillion cubic meters of water per year (equal to the annual flow of 20 Niles or 100 Colorado Rivers).

Hi there everyone! Women’s rights is a real issue! Women all over the world are forced to abandon their education and not pursue their dreams in order to take care of a family. In places where there is no access to clean water women are forced to fetch water from dried up dirty places.

Today, women around the world will spend a collective 200 million hours collecting water. In addition to time spent collecting water, millions may also spend significant amounts of time finding a place to go. This makes up an additional 266 million hours of time each day lost because they have no toilet at home.

To help change these unfortunate circumstances you can donate to the following link.

Having clean water and sanitation means being able to avoid exposure to countless diseases.

Every year, millions of people die from diseases caused by inadequate water supply, sanitation, and hygiene. Other than pneumonia, diarrhea is the main cause of death in children under age 5.

Poor sanitation and unsafe water cause nearly 20% of workplace deaths. It costs around $260 billion in lost productivity every year.

But the benefits of having a source of clean water in a community are much wider. When women and girls no longer have to walk miles to fetch water each day, they have more time to learn. Literacy rates rise. And when schools build proper toilet facilities, girls spend more time in school and less time at home. Investing in this area is such an effective way of creating stronger, more resilient communities.
