Each month we select an SCBWI Premium Member to highlight in our Featured Illustrator program. Their art will receive prominent placement on the SCBWI homepage and social media pages.

Congratulations to this month's Featured Illustrator Angie Kang, author-illustrator and 2025 Caldecott Honor awardee for Our Lake, a beautifully illustrated book about loss and remembering those we love. In this interview, Angie talks about how intuitive art-making influences her approach to creating children’s books and a poignant new book she has on the horizon. Check out this Featured Illustrator interview to learn more about Angie Kang’s work at www.angiekang.net.

Censorship isn’t just a headline. It’s reshaping what gets created, sold, and read by young readers everywhere. Hear directly from the people inside children’s publishing about how banned books are changing acquisitions, sales, and the stories being told. Honest and essential listening for anyone who cares about kids and books. This panel, sponsored by the Authors Coalition of America, is free and open to the public. Conference attendees can access the ZOOM link for the panel under MEMBER HOME > MY EVENTS > MEETING INFO. All others can watch the livestream on the SCBWI YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com//streams
