🏠 WIN: HUD Drops CoC Program NOFO
HUD dropped the Continuum of Care Program Notice of Funding Opportunity 12/8 but still "reserved the right to issue yet another." We are keeping our eyes peeled for NOFO's and NOFO-adjacent actions. 💸Protecting the CFPB
The attempts to dismantle the Consumer Financial Protections Bureau continue. On 12/6, Rise Economy, the Woodstock Institute, and the National Community Reinvestment Coalition filed a lawsuit to challenge acting head of CFPB, Russell Vought, regarding attempts to close the CFPB. On 12/17, Reuters reported that the CFPB was running out of funds and was planning on layoffs. The Administration demanded that the Fed not fund CFPB until the central bank returns to profitability, which several former Fed officials said the Administration "failed to understand the way the central bank operates."
