💕 🎉Edie turned 18 and we celebrated Dylan’s bridal shower all in the same week. 👰‍♀️🥂

So much joy … So much change … So many feelings. 😅

Birth exposed me.

My first birth was so traumatic, and for years I didn’t fully understand why.

Now I can see where I stayed quiet, handed over authority, and didn’t trust …

This is why birth education is so important!
This is where birth trauma debriefs are so helpful.

Sometimes we don’t need to “just move on.”
We need to understand what actually happened.

✨ Motherhood is a rite of passage ✨

You don’t just have a baby and then return to being the same woman you were before …

You are forever marked.

And even when your babies grow up, the mother in you still remembers their tiny hands, their head on your chest, the smell of their newborn head … Those nights no one saw. The prayers that no one heard.

So yes, sometimes a mother’s protectiveness can look a little intense from the outside.

Mama, you are supposed to care more than what makes sense to everyone else ;)

That’s God’s divine design. 🌟
