Tonight we hosted our very first Thrive Support Group for the parents and guardians of our Rehoboth citizens!

Parents and caregivers enjoyed a time of encouragement, connection, and practical support while our citizens had a blast with pizza, a movie, and games.

We are so thankful for our Rehoboth family and for opportunities like this to come together, strengthen one another, and build meaningful community. We look forward to many more evenings of support, growth, and connection in the months ahead. ❤️

Today we kicked off the My Wellbeing Program at Rehoboth Acres!

We are excited to partner with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, and the Texas Council for Developmental Disabilities to bring this special opportunity to our citizens. Over the coming weeks, participants will engage in activities designed to help them learn, connect, and grow while exploring different aspects of personal wellbeing.

A special thank you to Mandy Patrick for leading our first lesson today. Citizens received their workbooks, got to know one another better, and had a great time sharing their likes and dislikes. It was a fun, engaging start to what promises to be a meaningful summer of learning and growth!

We look forward to seeing all our citizens accomplish through this program in the weeks ahead. 💙

🌊☀️ This week at Rehoboth Acres, we continued our summer fun Under the Sea theme! Citizens enjoyed ocean-themed art projects, bubbles, and an exciting Under the Sea Dance Party.

As part of our Healthy Habits unit, citizens learned about making healthy food choices. They practiced activities of daily living, created their own healthy food plates, and participated in team-building activities.

During Bible study, we continued our June theme, “I Can Tell Others About Jesus!” Citizens learned about how Paul shared the good news of Jesus with others as they studied his life and ministry.

A big thank you to Brock Martin for leading us in an amazing chapel! Citizens were reminded that we serve a BIG God and that nothing is too big for Him as they learned about David and Goliath.

We are grateful for another week filled with learning, friendship, faith, and fun!

🐝 A big thank you to Caleb White, who came to Rehoboth Acres today for a Day of Inclusion to teach us all about Beekeeping!

Our citizens learned about honeybee colonies, how bees work together in the hive, and how honey is made. They even had the opportunity to try on a real beekeeping suit and taste fresh honey straight from the hive!

Thank you, Caleb, for sharing your knowledge and helping make learning so much fun. What a sweet day at Rehoboth Acres! 🍯🐝

If you or your company are interested in partnering with us in a “Day of Inclusion” please reach out to [email protected]. We would love to have you join us!

A helpful tool for families❤️

Severe behavior change in autism rarely points to "just autism." We made a one-page resource that families can print and bring with them to show providers. It walks through the workup algorithm, introduces a 60-second screen for catatonia, and links to five peer-reviewed studies for clinicians.

The behavior is the symptom. The cause is often elsewhere.

This week at Rehoboth Acres, our citizens learned about Healthy Habits! Throughout the week, they practiced activities of daily living, participated in “Ballnoodle Volleyball,” and enjoyed fun classroom games together.

During Bible study, we continued our May series, “Jesus Sends a Helper.” Citizens studied the story of Philip and the Ethiopian man in Acts 8:26–40 and learned that salvation through Jesus is for everyone!

We are so thankful for a week filled with joy, laughter, learning, and smiles. ❤️
