It's time to wipe the pollen off your lawn chairs and think about what snacks you want to pack for our outdoor concert! The Akwaaba Ensemble will be performing traditional African drum and dance on Saturday, June 27th @ 11:00 - 12:00 PM on the Londonderry Town Common.

This event has been made possible through the generous sponsorship of the New Hampshire Humanities, Friends of the Londonderry Leach Library, and Friends of Music. Our 2026 Youth Art Contest had the highest volume of submissions from young artists aged 5-18 EVER, and to celebrate all our winners, we hosted a party at the Moose Hill Chambers. While we don't want to post photos of the children, here are a few of our lively Arts Council members and town manager Shaun Mulholland joining in on the celebration.

If you're wondering about the alien visitors, this year's theme was "Art in Outer Space." All winning entries earned a gift card for art supplies, and you can view the pieces here: https://londonderryartscouncil.org/youth-art-contest

Thank you to LAC members Karen Giguere, Cit Waters, and Cyndi Peterson for volunteering their time and efforts to help our youngest artists evolve their talents and explore the arts!

Londonderry residents: We hope you'll be voting in our Town Election on March 10. Please consider voting Yes on Article No. 4 (Bond Issue for the Morrison Meeting House) and Article No. 26 (Establish a capital reserve fund for the Morrison Meeting House).

The Meeting House, previously known as the Lion’s Hall, has long served as a venue for public and private gatherings and celebrations, and if passed this historic venue has the potential to expand that role by providing much needed public arts space for music performances, art exhibits, community discussions, and other cultural activities sponsored by the Londonderry Arts Council and other organizations.
