The Bible language of surrender and sacrifice has nothing to do with punishing ourselves. Rather, it means to grasp the truth of being fully identified in the death of Jesus. He took our place. Surrender – taking up our cross – is recognizing daily that Jesus has accomplished all for us, we have died in Christ, and He now lives in us.

The message of the cross is radical, life-changing, world-changing ... Let’s renew our hope and trust in Christ today.

Father God, our police officers are the thin blue line against the lawlessness on our city streets and in our neighborhoods. Please grant them strength and courage so they may face any challenges with ease. Remind them that you are with them always. Lord, You are Jehovah Rapha, the Great Healer, and I ask that you provide healing for our officers who were recently shot while performing their duties. Comfort them and their families. Hold them close to you. Thank you, Lord, for we know that you watch over them closely. I ask these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Had a great time meeting new friends and seeing some old ones today at the JBSA C.A.R.E. fair. Great making the connection with Joseph and Sean with the Reel Warriors Foundation. Reel Warriors Is a Veteran non profit that gives veteran a break from everyday life connect veterans in the civilian world.

United by evil and tested by fire. That’s what we are. We have been through the worst this world has to offer. But not for nothing. But so that we can comfort others going through the same hell. You see, it’s for connection purposes. And God knew that thousands of years ago. He didn’t need a psychologist to do a bunch of research to tell Him what he already knew.
