Our Trunk or Treat on the 23rd was a blast! All 32 trunks made sure the students and families of Hoover had a great time! Thank you for making this possible! Congratulations to the most-voted trunk! 🎃

Thank you to everyone that showed up for our Skating event on the 20th! It was such a great turnout 🛼 Congratulations to Ms. Mae and Debbie on winning the PTA raffle prizes!!

Today starts our Throw Blanket Fundraiser. In order to get 47% profit and free shipping, we need to sell 150 blankets. I believe we can do that as a whole school. The forms are due back no later than November 4th to the teachers. The online ordering closes on the 4th also. If paying with a check please write it out to LP Hoover Elementary PTA

PRIZES: The teachers class with the most sold Throw Blankets will earn a $100 Amazon Gift Card. The TOP BOY AND TOP GIRL will earn a $100 Gift Card to Zapzone. Also every student that sells 8 Blankets or more will be entered to win a $50 Gift Card to Zapzone.

DELIVERY: The Blankets will be delivered around 25 days after November 4th. Just in time for Christmas gifts!

Dear Hoover Elementary families and Trunk or Treat Participants,

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who signed up to participate in our Hoover Elementary Trunk or Treat! We are so grateful for your time, generosity, and excitement in helping make this event special for our students and families. We cannot wait to see all of your creative trunks and all of our Hoover families dressed up in their Halloween costumes!

We have some fun things planned for everyone to enjoy, including:

🍎 Apple c***r and donuts to enjoy!

🎃 Small pumpkins to decorate with fun stickers!

📷 A photo area to capture memories

🎶 Fun music to dance to

👀A surprise special appearance from someone the kids will absolutely LOVE!

We are so excited to bring our Hoover community together for an evening full of Halloween fun, smiles, and memories. Thank you for helping make this event possible. We truly appreciate each and every one of you!

PTA would like to thank all of the parents, staff, and students for such an amazing turn out during our Book Fair week! We were able to raise $5,493.90!! Which is the most Hoover Elementary School has done in sales with Scholastic. The school and students will be able to benefit greatly from this!!!

As of right now we do not have enough cars for our Truck or Treat. We do ask for a small fee if you are decorating a trunk in order to keep the event free to students and families. We encourage staff, families, community members, local businesses, and local companies to participate. Keep in mind that candy will be provided from the candy drive. Please help us make sure the students have a successful Truck or Treat. If you need a new form to fill out please call the school and ask for Michelle Glime the PTA president. We will make sure your child is sent home with a new form.

Don’t forget to fill out a Volunteer sheet and submit it to the office. Please have both the volunteer sheet and truck or treat (with $10) form filled out by 10/16 so we can have a smooth transition into the event.

En este momento, la PTA no cuenta con suficientes vehículos para el evento "Trunk or Treat". La PTA solicita una pequeña cuota a quienes decidan decorar el maletero de su vehículo, con el fin de mantener el evento gratuito para los estudiantes y sus familias. Invitamos al personal, a las familias, a los miembros de la comunidad y a las empresas locales a participar. Tenga en cuenta que los dulces provendrán de la colecta organizada para este fin. Por favor, ayude a la PTA a garantizar que los estudiantes disfruten de un exitoso evento "Trunk or Treat". Starting Monday the 12th, we are having a candy drive! The teacher with the most bags of candy donated will win a Cupcake party for their classroom! We will have a Minion that collects all the candy from the teachers!! 🍬 This candy will be used for our Trunk or Treat event on the 23rd. We are hoping for a good outcome so our students can have an amazing experience during the event!

We cannot have a successful event without your help! We are still looking for Trunks for the 23rd as well. If you’d like to decorate a trunk please fill out the form that was sent home and turn it in with $10 by 10/16. Make sure you have a Volunteer sheet on file with the office before the event so you can participate.
