Noon, June 16 - Military Lecture Series

Many people know of the day of the Normandy landing and the following months, but little about what it took to support our forces. Brigadier General Gil Harper is a graduate of West Point who also holds a Master of Science degree from Stanford. His 29-year career took him all over the world, and in his last assignment was Commanding General for the Army Transportation Center and School and 23,000 individuals all over the world. In parts of his service, he gained a lot of familiarity with transportation and logistics. General Harper will discuss the Herculean effort required to supply the troops with food, fuel, ammunition, equipment, vehicles, and everything else needed to win World War II.
