Hi, I’m Arianna Tucker. I figured it was time to introduce myself! ☺️👋🏼
I’ve been sharing the stories of our residents and the ministry on our social medias & newsletter for quite some time now!
Here’s a bit of how I first found this beautiful place.
I actually first walked through the doors of the Galilean Home as a young girl volunteering with my church choir. I didn’t know it then, but God was planting something in my heart that week that would flourish a decade later. That week of volunteering fostered a big passion for working alongside people with disabilities. I even went to school for some time for education with a minor in special education. But life took its turns, and I didn’t find my way back to Galilean until 2018, when I married my husband, Isaac Tucker.
My role started just last October, when I jumped in to help share updates on here for the quilt auction. What started as “just helping out” turned into falling completely in love with telling the story of Galilean… the residents, the staff, and the behind the scenes moments most people never see.
And honestly? I couldn’t walk away from that. There’s so much beauty here that the world needs to see so I stepped into the role permenantly.
What keeps me going? The residents. When you meet them, you leave forever changed. Their servant hearts, their joy, the way the see life, and how they greet you like you’re the best part of their day… they show you the heart of Jesus in the most beautiful ways that inspires you to look more through their lens. That never gets old. 🥹
I also love getting to share the stories of our incredible staff members and family who pour themselves out every single day. The caregivers, the cooks, the groundskeepers, the office workers and managers, everyone serving across our umbrella ministries.. they show up with willing, with selfless hearts and they deserve to be recognized. It will take some time to get through everyone, as there are so many who keep this machine going, but I pray that as you get to know each person, you are impacted by the work they do here.
To our supporters, thank you. You are the reason this ministry beats. When I see happy, loved, well cared for residents, I think of you often. Your generosity, prayers, and spreading the word about Galilean makes this place possible.
Outside of these pages, my greatest joy is being a wife and a mama. It is truly an honor to be doing ministry together as a family. There are no words for how full our hearts are getting to raise our kids here, surrounded by this community and these residents, it is a gift we don’t take lightly.
I am so excited for what God has ahead for Galilean. More lives impacted and more residents welcomed. I’m honored to be to able to bring to light the heart behind it all. ❤️
