Today, we connected a veteran to resources from a referral received from Goodwill Industries of Northwest NC. In the morning, when our friend leaves for day two of his full-time job, a retired volunteer veteran will pick him up. This is a community doing the most good to meet the needs of their neighbors. Hope and healing are available for all when we work together instead of in silos. Let's continue to break down barriers to accessing care! Let us know if you want to be a part of our story; the opportunities are endless.

DC Connect is proud to work with over 60 dedicated local partners to serve those in our community who need it most. Our goal is to provide a gateway to resources for those who are post-incarcerated, struggling with substance use, or experiencing homelessness.

Today, we want to highlight our partnership with Pastor's Pantry - Davidson County, NC. From the roots of “Contact 74” to combating senior hunger, Pastor’s Pantry is a nonprofit food pantry that ensures no older adult or emergency family in Davidson County goes without nutritious food. Helping more than 700 individuals on average per month in nearly 500 senior households throughout Davidson County, distributing an average of 5,000 bags of groceries per month. They also offer emergency food to individuals of all ages who are in crisis mode. Their food comes from donations from individuals, local food drives, groups, churches, and retail partnerships with Lexington grocer Conrad and Hinkle and the Store Rescue Program from Food Lion.

We are proud to stand alongside a great agency like Pastor’s Pantry. Thank you for everything you do for the DC community!

Valerie marks four years of triumph over substance misue, while Billy is celebrating a few weeks of recovery. Their stories inspire hope and remind us that healing is within reach for everyone in our community. Thanks to our dedicated partners and donors, we continue to offer life-changing support to all who need it in Davidson County.
