Patterson Fire & Rescue would like to invite all residents and property owners within the Patterson Fire District to attend our Annual Meeting.

This meeting is an opportunity for community members to learn about the department’s progress over the past year, future goals, ongoing projects, and plans to continue serving the citizens of the Patterson Fire District.

We encourage anyone interested in the fire department, emergency services, and the future of our community to attend. Your support and involvement help make our department stronger.

Our friends at Yancey County Long Term Recovery Group are in need of campers.

We are asking for the community’s help.

The Yancey County Long Term Recovery Group is in need of 3 Donated campers for local families who are still rebuilding after Hurricane Helene and need safe temporary housing.

We do not currently have funds to purchase campers, so we are seeking donated units only.

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be interviewed live on terrestrial radio?

In this video, we’re taking you behind the scenes at KICKS 103.3 WKVSfm where Big Daddy Dave Williams invited us onto his show to talk about our nonprofit, The Heroes Among Us.

We had the opportunity to discuss our mission, some of the projects we’re currently working on, and several upcoming events that help us serve our community and support those who put others before themselves.

Of course, if you know me, you know I couldn’t leave without sneaking in a little commercial for our Frontline Fuel Coffee while I had a microphone in front of me!

The funny part is that while I’ve spoken in front of crowds, made hundreds of YouTube videos, and talked to thousands of people over the years, there is just something about sitting in a radio studio with a live microphone in your face that had me feeling like a nervous wreck.

Thankfully, "Big Daddy Dave" made the entire experience enjoyable and helped keep the conversation flowing.

This video gives you a behind-the-scenes look at the studio, the interview process, and what it’s really like when the “On Air” light comes on.
