Life keeps moving on & I thank God that I have these little hands that pull me back to the present when grief takes me under. As if he’s saying, “Not yet, Mom.”

You still have stories to read.
You still have brotherly fights to break up.
You still have lessons to teach & so much left to learn.
You still have memories to make & life to live.

So I take a breath & remind myself that I carry my grief beside me instead of letting it carry me. Most days, that’s easier said than done. But I keep going…for the one I miss, and for the people who remind me that love is still here. Because grief may walk with me, but so does love.
