11 days left — have you applied?

The deadline to apply for a 2026 Lennox Area Community Fund grant is July 31 — just 11 days away.

If your nonprofit or community program serves Chancellor, Lennox, or Worthing, there’s still time to submit your application.

In 2025, $18,600 was awarded to nine organizations including the Lennox Ambulance, Lincoln County 4-H, Junior Achievement of South Dakota, the Lennox Area Historical Society, and more.

Your organization could be on that list. Apply at sfacf.org/lennox before July 31!

How does the LACF work?
Great question — here’s the simple version:

Donors give → funds are professionally managed and grow over time → each year, a portion is granted to nonprofits and programs serving Chancellor, Lennox, and Worthing.

Our fund has now grown to more than $625,000 — meaning more money available to give back to the community every single year.

It’s called an endowment, and the idea is simple: give once, and your generosity keeps giving. For good. Forever.

Spotlight: Our Local Fire Departments

Our volunteer firefighters do more than fight fires — they’re the first ones on the scene for accidents, too.

The Lennox Area Community Fund has been proud to support all three of our local fire departments — Chancellor, Lennox, and Worthing — through grants over the years.

These are the people who show up for us. Investing in their equipment is investing in our community’s safety.

Who can apply for a LACF grant?
Wondering if your organization qualifies? Here’s what you need to know:

Eligible organizations include:
• 501(c)(3) nonprofits
• City or state government programs with a clear charitable purpose

You must serve the Chancellor, Lennox, or Worthing communities.

We prioritize grants that benefit youth, senior citizens, education, the arts, cultural enrichment, and health and safety.
