Monday, April 27, 2026 Lemoore Volunteer Fire Department Association held their 6th annual charity golf tournament benefitting Leon S. Peters Burn unit at Community Regional Medical Center. Thank you to all the teams that played, sponsors who donated, hospital staff that helped, Griswold and Laselle for hosting a game, and our very own firefighters for working the event! Included are pictures from the actual burn unit that we toured weeks before to get a glimpse of the impact our donations have made because of sponsors like you!

April 22, 2026 Lemoore Volunteer Fire Department hosted the Lemoore High School Public Safety Class. Students learned about fire safety, ways to become a volunteer as well as paid firefighters, tried on gear to get a feel for what it’s like and ended with spraying water from the hose. Students engaged in questions and also participated in a timed race to get the gear on. Thank you Mr. Stamper for bringing your class out!

Congratulations to our very own Jose Perez!

On December 24th and 25th, while most families were opening presents, Jose Perez was standing beside a failed lift station in Lemoore, California, working nearly 40 hours straight to keep the city running.

Because when water and sewer systems stop, a community can’t.

Jose serves as Public Works Inspector for the City of Lemoore, overseeing water, sewer, and streets: the critical infrastructure residents depend on every single day. From restoring water after breaks to coordinating growth projects and mentoring the next generation of public servants, his leadership happens mostly behind the scenes… but its impact is felt everywhere.

And when his workday ends, his service continues: as a volunteer firefighter, youth coach, and community advocate.

HERO stands for HydroPro’s End-to-End Resource Offerings, but it also represents the utility leaders who step up to protect their communities.

Jose Perez is one of them. 💧

👉 Special shoutout from Jose to Jesus Gracia - thank you for the impact you’re making in your community as well.

We’re also grateful to Jose for allowing us to share his story and for the work he does every day to serve Lemoore.

On Friday, February 6, Lemoore Fire Department recognized National Burn Awareness Week and celebrated the opening of the Burn Therapy Gym at the Leon S. Peters Burn Center! 🎉

The Burn Center, located at Fresno Community Medical Center, is one of the best verified burn centers in the nation, pioneering research and recovery for patients and their care. This is one of the only burn centers in the state that serves both pediatric and adult patients. 🏥

Lemoore Fire toured the Burn Center, seeing its Intensive Care Units (ICU), hydrotherapy room, hyperbaric oxygen chambers (used to treat carbon monoxide poisoning), and so much more. The team visited one patient care space that has Lemoore Fire Engine 11 on the wall, as well as a Lemoore Fire Department jacket! 🚒👨‍🚒

Lemoore Fire with the Selma Fire Department, also visited the Burn Center’s helicopter pads. 🚁

This visit was extra special, as the Burn Center unveiled its new Burn Therapy Gym, which the Lemoore Volunteer Fire Department Association led the fundraising for. This gym will be used for physical therapy and recovery activities for burn patients, who require a safe, sanitized environment for maximum healing. Former Lemoore Fire Chief, Bruce German, had the honor of cutting the ribbon, alongside the Mayor of the City of Lemoore, Patricia Matthews, and Fernando Saenz with SUSP and the Lemoore Chamber of Commerce. ✂️

Over the past 5 years, the Lemoore Volunteer Fire Department Association has contributed $172,000 to the Burn Center, donating all proceeds from its annual Golf Tournament. 💵

If you are wanting to support the Burn Center and help the Association reach its goal of hitting the $200,000 mark, please consider donating to, participating in, or sponsoring the upcoming Golf Tournament. ⛳️🏌️🏌️‍♀️🏌️‍♂️

All proceeds will benefit the Burn Center, which is the only Burn Center located between San Francisco and Los Angeles. Kings County has a high number of burn victims, including children, and your support will help us improve their health, recovery, and wellbeing. 😷

Our thanks to Anali Fuentes, Catrina Cullen, and Dr. Nicole Kopari, for showing our team around! 🤝
