🧡🐾 MEET CHEDDAR BOB — A LITTLE CHUNK OF ORANGE-FLAVORED HAPPINESS! 🐾🧡

Some cats have cute faces. Some have adorable personalities. And then there’s Cheddar Bob, who seems to have the whole package! 😻

Cheddar Bob is a handsome, approximately 5-month-old orange tabby kitten with a sweet, affectionate personality and one very special feature - an adorable little bobtail! 🧡

That’s right! This charming little fellow comes with a shorter-than-usual tail, but he’s certainly not short on love! ❤️

Cheddar Bob is an affectionate youngster who seems to believe that life is better when you have someone to love. With his handsome orange tabby markings, sweet disposition, and that irresistible little bobtail, he’s quite the catch!

And let’s face it, with a name like Cheddar Bob, how could you possibly forget him? 😂🐾

🎾🐾 National Fetch Day is October 17th!🐾🎾

It’s almost time to celebrate one of the greatest games known to dogs: FETCH! 🐶💨

Whether your pup is a fetch fanatic who will chase a ball until the sun goes down, or they’re more of a “you threw it, you go get it” kind of dog 😂, October 17th is the perfect excuse to grab a favorite toy and have some fun!

🌳 Head outside for some playtime
📸 Snap a picture and show us your fetch champion!

Looking for a feline companion who believes in taking life as it comes? Well, we’d like to introduce you to Krissy! 😻

Krissy is an adorable, approximately 1-year-old tuxedo kitty with a sweet personality and a wonderfully laid-back attitude. This pretty little lady seems to have figured out something the rest of us are still working on — why stress when you can just go with the flow? 😹❤️

Krissy doesn’t seem to need a lot of fuss or fanfare. She’s simply a sweet, easygoing girl who takes things in stride and seems perfectly happy just being herself!

💜🐾 MEET VIOLET — A LITTLE FLOWER JUST WAITING TO BLOSSOM! 🐾💜

Some of the sweetest friendships take a little time to grow, and we think our pretty girl Violet might be one of those special friendships! 🌸❤️

Violet is a beautiful, approximately 4-year-old tuxedo kitty who is still adjusting to life here at the shelter. Everything is a little new and unfamiliar right now, but we’re already seeing glimpses of the sweet girl hiding behind that initial uncertainty. 😻

Violet isn’t quite ready to be the life of the party, and that’s perfectly okay! She’s simply looking for someone who understands that trust takes time and that a little patience can go a long way.

Goldie Hawn is a beautiful, approximately 8-year-old buff tabby with a soft, golden coat and a personality that’s worth getting to know. ❤️

Goldie can be a little reserved when meeting new people, but give her a little time to warm up, and you’ll discover a friendly, sweet girl underneath that initial shyness. Sometimes the best friendships just take a little patience! 💕

Goldie is also declawed, so she’ll need a safe, indoor-only home where she can feel comfortable and secure. Soft bedding and a little extra consideration for her paws would certainly be appreciated!

At 8 years young, Goldie is at a wonderful age. She’s past those wild kitten years but still has plenty of love and companionship to offer.

🐾⚖️ October 14 is Pet Obesity Awareness Day! ⚖️🐾

A little extra “fluff” may look cute, but maintaining a healthy weight is an important part of helping our pets live long, comfortable, active lives. ❤️

Extra weight can place additional stress on the body and may contribute to problems with joints and mobility, breathing, diabetes, and other health concerns.

And here’s something important: this isn’t about how our pets look. It’s about how they feel. 🐶🐱

A few simple habits can make a difference:

🥣 Measure meals rather than continually topping off the bowl
🦴 Remember that treats count, too!
🎾 Encourage daily play and appropriate exercise
🧩 Use puzzle feeders and enrichment to get pets moving and thinking
⚖️ Keep track of weight and body condition over time
🩺 Talk with your veterinarian about your pet’s ideal weight and nutritional needs—especially before starting a weight-loss plan

Every animal is different. Age, breed, activity level, medical conditions, medications, and individual metabolism can all affect weight, so there isn’t one number that’s right for every pet.

Sometimes gradual weight gain can be difficult to notice when we see our animals every day. Regular weigh-ins and veterinary checkups can help catch changes early.

And remember—food isn’t the only way to show them love. ❤️

An extra game with the feather wand, a walk together, a brushing session, a new enrichment activity, or simply spending time with them can be just as rewarding.

Looking for a friendly feline companion? Well, Tommy might just be your guy! 🐱❤️

Tommy is a handsome, approximately 2-year-old tabby who appears to have some Oriental Shorthair in his family tree. And what a good-looking fellow he is! 😻

But Tommy has more going for him than just his handsome looks! This sweet young gentleman seems to be quite the social butterfly. He enjoys attention, has a friendly disposition, and appears to get along well with the other cats in our care. 🐾

At just 2 years old, Tommy has plenty of love and companionship to offer. Whether you’re looking for a new feline friend or hoping to add another kitty to your family, Tommy is certainly worth meeting!

🎉🐾 ADOPTION ALERT! GALAXY HAS FOUND HIS PERSON! 🐾🎉

Some adoptions are extra special, and Galaxy’s is definitely one of them! ❤️

Galaxy was one of our cats that we honestly weren’t sure would ever find a home. While he gets along wonderfully with other cats, building relationships with people has always been a challenge for him. He isn’t the kind of kitty who immediately seeks out affection or welcomes attention.

But sometimes, all it takes is the right person to see beyond those challenges. ❤️

Galaxy’s new dad was actually looking for a companion for his current cat, and Galaxy seemed like a wonderful candidate! Even better, when we explained Galaxy’s reluctance to trust people, his adopter wasn’t discouraged. He understood that building a relationship would take time, patience, and understanding, and he was perfectly willing to give Galaxy all three.

And just like that, a cat we feared might spend his life in the shelter got his chance at a forever home! 🏡❤️

We know Galaxy may never be a traditional lap cat, and that’s perfectly okay. He deserves a loving home just as much as any other cat.

Sometimes the most beautiful adoptions happen when someone accepts an animal exactly as they are. ❤️

Congratulations, Galaxy! We’re so happy you found someone willing to give you the time, space, and love you deserve. Here’s to new friendships, both feline and human! 🐈🐈‍⬛💕
