After six long months of prayer, seeking God, and patiently waiting on His direction, we are grateful and excited to announce that God has sent us our next Worship Leader.
This appointment is more than filling a position—it is a sacred assignment. A true worship leader is not simply a talented singer or gifted musician. While talent is valuable, talent alone cannot lead people into the presence of God. Worship leadership begins with a personal relationship with God and a life surrendered to Him.
Throughout Scripture, the Levites were entrusted with the responsibility of ministering before the Lord and leading God’s people in worship. In many ways, worship leaders serve as modern-day Levites. They carry the privilege and responsibility of helping create an atmosphere where people can encounter God, hear His voice, and respond to His presence.
A true worship leader must:
• Have a genuine and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Live a life of integrity both publicly and privately.
• Be committed to prayer and the study of God’s Word.
• Lead from a place of worship rather than performance.
• Understand that ministry is about serving God and His people, not seeking personal recognition.
• Be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
The platform is not a stage for entertainment; it is an altar for ministry. Worship leaders are called to point people to God rather than draw attention to themselves. Their responsibility is not merely to sing songs but to help prepare hearts to receive from the Lord.
As King David appointed skilled musicians who also understood the importance of ministering before God, today’s worship leaders must combine excellence with spiritual maturity. Excellence without intimacy produces performance. Intimacy with God produces authentic worship that transforms lives.
We ask our church family to pray for our new Worship Leader. Pray that God will continue to strengthen, anoint, and guide her as she serves. Pray that she will remain humble, faithful, and sensitive to the voice of God.
We believe God has sent the right person for this season, and we look forward to seeing how He will use this ministry to lead people into deeper encounters with His presence.
“God is Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” (John 4:24)
To God be the glory for what He is doing at The Fresh Oil Church.
