The Lebanon Kiwanis Club was honored to welcome Amber Meredith from The Free Store Ministry as our guest speaker this week. Amber shared about the upcoming Back-to-School Fair and the incredible impact it has by helping local students and families prepare for a successful school year

🥞 PANCAKE FUNDRAISER — Kiwanis Night! 🥞

Join us on Wednesday, July 15th from 5:00-7:00 PM at The Elm Street Eatery for the kickoff of a month-long Civic Club Pancake Battle! 🎉
The Lebanon Kiwanis Club is teaming up with Rotary and Optimist Club for three weeks of friendly competition — and it all benefits our community! On our night, proceeds go toward our Christmas Shopping Program, which has taken over 7,300 Laclede County kids shopping for basic essentials since 1969. 👕👟🎄

🥞 Pancakes Only: $10
🍳 Pancake Breakfast (pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage & potatoes): $20

Kiwanis members will be your guest servers that night, and every tip goes right back to the Christmas Shopping Program! Plus, 50% of ALL meal sales that night will be donated to Shayla’s Lighthouse, a women’s recovery housing program.

Come hungry, come support local kids and families, and help us kick off this fundraiser with a bang! 💙

This week, Lebanon Kiwanis was proud to hear from our very own member, State Representative Melissa Schmidt

Melissa shared what drives her work at the state level — and it’s no surprise that her heart for children, families, and community is exactly why she found her home in Kiwanis. 💛

Here’s a peek at what she’s been up to:
📋 Staying connected to all 11 school districts she represents, keeping lines of communication open on the issues that matter most
🏛️ Currently working on legislation supporting foster care, veterans, and law enforcement
🤝 Committed to transparency and staying in tune with the needs of her community

Her motto says it all: “Together we make a difference for Missouri.”

We are so grateful to have Melissa not just as a representative, but as a fellow Kiwanian who truly lives out our mission every day! 🌟

This Saturday, June 13th at 6:00 PM, we’re taking over Boat Town Brewing for a night of music, laughs, and community! 🎉

Never played Singo before? Think BINGO — but instead of numbers, you’re listening for songs! 🎵 Mark your card when you recognize the tune, and hope your neighbors don’t beat you to it! It’s easy to pick up and SO much fun once the music starts.

$20 per player | Cash or Venmo

And here’s the best part — when you play, you’re giving back. 💙 Funds raised go directly toward one of our favorite Kiwanis traditions — our annual Christmas shopping event, where local students get to choose brand new clothing for themselves. It’s one of our favorite things we get to do for this community. 🎄
