Every adolescent will have the opportunity to meet Jesus Christ and follow Him. Our Mission

Introducing adolescents to Jesus Christ and helping them grow in their faith. We accomplish our mission by ...

Praying for young people. Going where kids are. Building personal relationships with them. Winning the

right to be heard. Providing experiences that are fun, adventurous and life-changing. Sharing our lives and the Good News of Jesus Christ with adolescents. Inviting them to personally respond to this Good News. Loving them regardless of their response. Nurturing kids so they might grow in their love for Christ and the knowledge of God's Word and become people who can share their faith with others. Helping young people develop the skills, assets and attitudes to reach their full God-given potential. Encouraging kids to live connected to the Body of Christ by being an active member of a local congregation. Working with a team of like-minded individuals — volunteer leaders, committee members, donors and staff. Our Values

Living according to and communicating the whole Gospel of Jesus Christ. Carrying out our mission under the authority of Scripture and relying on the Holy Spirit to empower our ministry. Encouraging the welfare and spiritual health of those who do this ministry, that they may minister out of a consistent and growing relationship with Christ and His followers. Researching and developing innovative approaches to reaching uncommitted, disinterested kids around the world. Reaching adolescents of all social, cultural, economic and ethnic backgrounds throughout the world. Working with followers of Christ from a variety of traditions and local churches around the world. Welcoming all those whom God calls to our mission — men and women of all races, staff and volunteers — who are linked to a common purpose of introducing adolescents to Jesus Christ. Observing the highest standards of stewardship of all the resources placed in our trust. Due to the nature of social networking sites, on which content can be provided by a variety of individuals, it is important for visitors to this page to understand that the views expressed on this site do not necessarily reflect the views of Young Life.

YOU showed up. And wow!!

We set a bold goal of $30,000 for this year’s Upper Valley Young Life Banquet.

Because of your generosity, we didn’t just reach it…

Together, you gave $45,300! 🤯🤯🤯🤯

That’s $45,300 invested into showing up for kids, developing leaders, reaching new schools, and giving more young people the opportunity to experience the love of Jesus.

This is what happens when a community decides that kids are worth showing up for.

Thank you for believing in this mission and making it possible.

Every kid deserves to know Jesus and adults who care. And because of you, more kids will!

- TJ Ka'apuni, Area Director and the Upper Valley Young Life Committee.

Sunday night reminded us why we do this.

On a smoky afternoon in Cashmere, about 75 people gathered at Joya's property for our annual Upper Valley Young Life Banquet.

We ate Samoan BBQ prepared by Charlie Coffin, listened to live music from TJ, Zach, Marcos, and Eleazar, celebrated what God has done this past year, and shared where we believe He is calling us next.

Our vision is simple:
Every kid deserves someone who cares.

We want to continue building a community of adults who show up in the lives of young people, build lasting relationships with them, and introduce them to Jesus.
And we're ready to expand.

This next year, we're working toward beginning ministry at Icicle River Middle School and launching Young Life in Cashmere.

One of the most powerful moments Sunday was hearing Amelia share her story. Her testimony reminded us that this isn't ultimately about programs, events, or numbers. It's about individual kids being known, cared for, and discovering who Jesus is.

At the end of the evening, Jim Stuck, our Mountain West Associate Regional Director, invited our community to help us raise $30,000 toward the ministry ahead.

So far, you've given $12,500. Thank you!
We had budgeted $15,000 from this year's banquet, which means we're only $2,500 away from hitting our budgeted goal.

But we'd love to go further.

For years, some of our biggest fundraisers came through opportunities like parking cars during Oktoberfest and the winter season. Those opportunities are no longer available, creating a significant fundraising gap.

That's why reaching toward the full $30,000 would make such a difference.

It would give us the resources to recruit and develop leaders, reach new schools, launch ministry in Cashmere, and continue showing up consistently for kids throughout the Upper Valley.

If you weren't able to attend Sunday or if you were there and haven't had the opportunity to give yet, would you consider helping us close the gap?

$12,500 raised.
$2,500 to reach our banquet budget.
$17,500 to reach the bigger $30,000 goal.

We're also incredibly grateful to https://www.ccheventco.com/ for supplying our rentals, the Gann family for donating the wine, Charlie Coffin for preparing an incredible meal, our musicians and volunteers, and every person who helped make Sunday possible.

Most importantly, thank you for believing in kids and helping us keep showing up. Every kid deserves someone who cares. Let's keep going.

Two summers. Two camps cut short by wildfire.

It’s hard to build momentum when, for the second year in a row, our summer trip has been interrupted by fires.

If we’re honest, that’s discouraging.

But here’s what encourages us: our leaders didn’t pack up and go home. They kept showing up. They pivoted, adapted, and continued doing what they do best walking alongside kids, creating memories, and reminding them they are seen, known, and loved.

When Washington Family Ranch Canyon had to close just 18 hours after we arrived, our team quickly made the best of an unexpected situation. We’re incredibly thankful to Shayla’s family for opening their home on the coast and providing a beautiful place for our group to stay while we regrouped.

To everyone who gives, prays, and supports Upper Valley Young Life: this is your story too.

Because of your generosity, our leaders had the resources, flexibility, and support they needed to keep caring for students even when everything changed. You make it possible for ministry to continue—not just when things go according to plan, but especially when they don’t.

Please continue praying for the staff at Washington Family Ranch, the firefighters, and every family impacted by these fires.

If you believe every kid deserves caring adults who will keep showing up especially when life doesn’t go according to plan. We'd love for you to partner with us.

Pray. Share this story. And if you’re able, consider making a gift to help us continue reaching students across the Upper Valley.

Thank you for helping make sure that, no matter the circumstances, kids continue to experience the love of Jesus through caring leaders.

God is still at work.
