Foundation for Las Cruces Museums

Foundation for Las Cruces Museums FLCM is a community-supported, non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the Las Cruces Museum System.

The foundation provides financial assistance and advocacy to ensure these museums remain vibrant, accessible, and educational for the community. Friends of Las Cruces Museums are members of the Foundation for Las Cruces Museums, a non-profit and educational organization supporting the City of Las Cruces museum system. Four Smithsonian-affiliated museums are located in our city, each with its own v

ision and mission. The Branigan Cultural Center, the Museum of Art, the Museum of Nature and Science and the Railroad Museum offer exceptional exhibits and programs that enrich the experiences of residents and visitors. The Foundation assists the museums by creating public and financial support. We work to increase community attendance at the museums, sponsor programs designed to enhance the cultural life of Las Cruces and advocate for favorable legislation and appropriations. Because our museum system is part of the municipal government, programming is subject to the availability of tax revenue. The museums have limited resources to accomplish their missions and visions. The Foundation assists the museums financially by creating fund raising events and encouraging gifts and endowments.

On Friday, September 18, "Moonlight: Adult Night at the Museums" is back for a "Fall Fun Fundraiser!" This night at the Museums on Main Street starts at 5pm and ends at 9pm and will feature crafted drinks from Dry Point Distillers of Las Cruces, food from a food truck, and live music!

Entry is FREE and exclusively for Adults 21+ with a valid Government issued ID on hand. Food from the food truck and drinks from the cash bar can be purchased during the event.

This Moonlight is slightly different than the others; we will be focusing the fun on the Branigan Cultural Center and the Museum Courtyard! We will have the Museum of Art open, but no food or drink will be allowed inside it. Entry for the night will be through the courtyard gates on Main Street, NOT the Museum of Nature & Science. Entry will close at 8:15pm, so make sure to show up before the gates are locked!

The main attraction this "Moonlight" is the Foundation for Las Cruces Museums spirit tasting fundraiser! For $15 per person, attendees will receive four separate half-ounce tastes of Dry Point's handcrafted spirits during a 25-minute session, tasting notes about the liquors, and a surprise party favor. The sessions begin at 5:30 pm and continue through until 8 pm. These tickets are not required to enter the Moonlight program, but are required for the tasting.

Tickets are available for pre-purchase Foundation for Las Cruces Museums link here, or for purchase that night at the FLCM table:
