AMARO WINERY EXHIBIT
LCAA artists are having their 2nd Friday “Meet the Artists” at the Amaro Winery this evening, from 7 - 9pm. Sorry for the late notice.
REMINDER: Please send photos of your “Anything Goes” entries to Margaret Bernstein, [email protected] in the next few days. These will be sent out with the publicity for the
exhibit. And send information about your artwork: title, size, medium and price to Judy Licht,
[email protected], by Oct. 20, so that John can make the labels.
MEMBER MEETING
Our monthly meeting will be at Cruces Creatives on Lohman Ave. on Sunday October 20, 1:30 to 3 pm. We will have an overview of our new website.
ART MARKET - Saturday, October 26, 9am to 3pm at Cafe de Mesilla. Please come out and support your fellow artists, and post the event on social media! And a reminder to participants about the planning meeting on Monday, Oct. 14 at 2 pm at the Cafe.
The Dona Ana Arts Council is seeking volunteers to help with their annual Renaissance ArtsFaire.

ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP SHOW PROSPECTUS
Monetary Prizes will be awarded - 1st, 2nd, 3rd, Honorable Mentions and the Carol Kennedy Awards
for artist with Most Creative Use of Medium, with the Most Humor, and the artist exploring a New Direction.
Date: November, December 2019
Place: The Big Picture, Lohman Ave.
OPENING RECEPTION: Friday, Nov. 15, 5 - 7 pm
Exhibit will continue through December 31st.
Eligibility: All current members of the LCAA (and ArtForms) are eligible to enter.
Theme: “Anything Goes”
Rules: Entries shall be two-dimensional or three-dimensional art such as, but not limited to: oil, acrylic, water media, pastel, fiber arts, drawing, scratchboard, photography, collage, multimedia, clay, wood, metal, gourds, sculpture and other 3-D media. Computer enhanced photography is acceptable, but not computer generated.
All work must be original, not done under supervision or advice resulting in modification, not copied from copyrighted or published art, and must have been completed within the past two years. Work must be appropriately framed and ready to hang with wire hangers. No bulldog or sawtooth hangers permitted.
Each artist may submit TWO Small pieces OR ONE Medium or Large piece. Small Pieces: Minimum size: 10” x 14” to Maximum size: 16 x 20 (outside frame dimensions.). Medium to Large pieces Maximum size: 30” x 40” outside frame dimension.
SUBMIT: Title, Medium, Size and Selling Price (for wall labels) no later than October 20th to Judy at [email protected]. Please indicate if tables or pedestals are needed.
FEES: The hanging fee is $25 for the two month exhibit.. Fees will be paid at the Take-in Date. Each entry MUST be labeled on the back with title of work, name of artist, phone or email.
TAKE-IN DATE: Friday, November 8, 10 am - 12 pm
All art will be handled with the utmost care. The Las Cruces Arts Association does not assume any responsibility for loss or damage to artwork entered in this exhibition.
