The Border Artists organization was conceived in the late 1980's as a way of increasing visibility and recognition for the work of a group of fine artists in southern New Mexico. The artistic vision of 20 unique artists, working in their chosen mediums, interpreting their world.

Lesli Zerr, Terry Wolfe, Jeanne Rundell and I along with contributions from David Sorensen, set up Sherry Carter's Altar for the Day of the Dead celebrations in Mesilla. If you'd like to pay tribute or add to the altar, you're welcome to. It's in the southwest corner of the plaza.

The Rio Bravo Fine Art Gallery is exhibiting a group show by the Border Artists and a two-person show with Tauna Cole, Artist and Nolan Winkler. I tell you this because it's the monthly arts hop in Truth or Consequences, and these shows are worth the drive, in my humble opinion. September 12th, 6 - 9 pm.

Just a friendly reminder this Saturday, August 8th, is the arts hop and official reception for our show at The Rio Bravo Fine Art Gallery. It's from 6 -9 pm, and I think it's safe to say the work does a great job of representing our members' diversity. Hope you can put it on your calendar. The show will be up until October 25th.

The Border Artists have an opening coming up at the Rio Bravo Fine Art Gallery on August 8th from 6 - 9 pm. Yesterday was install day. Always exciting to see the artwork and figure out what is going where. The Hanging Committee, along with owner Eduardo and curator, Richard, helped hang the show. Big Thanks!
