The Lansing Events Committee would like to thank everyone involved with putting together the Community Celebration/Carnival 2026! The weather was beautiful, we had wonderful food, rides, entertainment, fireworks and the parade. So many of you came out to support the Lansing Fire Department and the Lansing Events Committee, and we truly appreciate you all. With the theme of America the Beautiful, the winners of the parade categories are: Originality: The Witches of the Waters Edge, Best Spirit: Lansing Recreational Cheer, Judge’s Award: ALL of Recreational Football, both boys and girls flag are included, Best Theme: Lansing Loves to Read, and Best in Show: Cayuga Lake National Bank. We also thank Kenny Hancharik, also known as KDawg for his always awesome DJ skills and as MC of the Parade, he did a wonderful job. Our super good judges, Lansing Fire Chief, Brad George, Lansing School Superintendent, Chris Pettograsso, and long time supporter of the LEC, Nicole Reynolds, did a great job, although they reported a tough time coming up with just one winner in each category with so many great entries! Anyone interested in joining the Events Committee, please let us know, we always need help and new ideas!

We need a name for our mascot! Anyone have a good idea?
