September is Library Card Sign-Up Month!

If your family doesn’t have library cards yet, this is a great time to sign up — and libraries have SO much more than books these days!

Depending on your local library, your card may give you access to things you wouldn’t expect, like:

Museum & attraction passes
Free eBooks & audiobooks
Movies, music & other digital media
Games, puzzles & activities
Computers, Wi-Fi & online learning resources
Kids’ programs, crafts & special events
Homework and research resources
Digital magazines & newspapers

And sometimes even things you can borrow that have nothing to do with reading!

Library services and collections vary by location, so it’s worth checking out what your local library offers.

And yes.. kids can have their own library cards, too!

Labor Day Weekend
No School — Friday, September 4
No School — Monday, September 7

Back-to-School Night
Wednesday, September 16 at 6:30 p.m.
Parents and guardians are invited to visit classrooms and learn more about the year ahead from your child’s teacher.

No School
Monday, September 21

Pajama Day
Friday, September 25
Wear your favorite PJs to school! $1 donation is suggested, but not required to participate.

A big THANK YOU to everyone who helped us kick off the school year at Knapp!

Our friends at Kona Ice for the sweet treats.

Knapp Elementary for letting us use the playground and bus loop.

Our amazing teachers & staff for being there to welcome everyone back.

Our Home & School Board and volunteers who helped make it all happen.

And most importantly, our Knapp families and students for coming out and spending the evening with us!

It was so nice seeing old friends, meeting new ones, and starting the year together.
