Monday morning wildlife at Sunnyside. This Cooper's Hawk was sitting on an old headstone when pulling into the cemetery this morning. I scared it and she flew away with something in her talons up into one of the trees.

Unfortunately, I think one of our cemetery deer didn't make it across Main Street this weekend. 😢

The Ueckers are cheering on the Brewers at Sunnyside today. A visitor left some world series stickers at Joyce's and Steve's headstones.

Fabulous Friday restorations!!

Here are a few pics of some of the most recent restorations and cleanings. One of the biggest projects was restoring the Lot of Timothy Abbott and those around him. His lot was sinking and flooding. Headstones were sinking with it. We removed the headstones, poured a new foundation, cleaned up the old concrete on Timothy's and set him on this shared foundation, purchased 2 small markers for 2 babies and for Frank and Anna Winter - all who were previously unmarked and then backfilled the Lots in hopes that they won't flood anymore. Seeding will take place in spring.

Everyone deserves to be remembered and have a beautiful final resting place.

Our Little Free Library is up and ready for you to visit! Feel free to borrow a book or two or bring one to share! We have placed a copy of the Lannon 90th Anniversary book inside and would love it if it could be returned after each use for the next person to enjoy! There is some great history on Sunnyside inside. 📚
