Big shout out to Downtown Fruit Passion Lancaster for their donations of mixed greens and strawberry tops for the turts n torts. They make delicious food and what they can't use is perfect for the rescue. Super appreciate you all at DTFP.

All the turts n torts are outside for the summer. It's the most wonderful time of the year! 😆 They get that natural sunlight, large enclosures to roam, fresh grass and edible plants to graze on and for the omnivores, bugs and worms.
Sulcatas, Redfoot, Hermans, Russians, Greek, Chinese BT, Eastern BT and Ornate BT. More surrenders coming this week as well.

3 new shelled friends! 2 Captive bred Eastern box turtles and an Ornate. These creatures have been well cared for at their previous home. Now they are outside living in a large enclosure, exploring and nibbling on bugs and worms. These are native turtles, are endangered and are illegal to take from the wild which is why I mentioned that they are captive bred. Wild needs to stay wild friends. They are vital for the population and our ecosystem. Aren't they magnificent??

New rockdogs have been welcomed here. A male Russian, also a small, medium and large Sulcata. I've been working on updating all outdoor enclosures. Planting clover and dandelion seeds and a general clean up. Now only if the weather would cooperate and stay warm enough so they can all move outdoors. It's my favorite time of year. They get natural sunlight and graze all day.
