REST IN PEACE SWEET LELIA

We recently introduced you to Lelia. She was having an issue with her leg that she was unable to put any weight on it. We sent her to Dr. Beckett for an evaluation. We received devastating news that she had an aggressive bone cancer. She had a grapefruit size tumor that was inoperable. The cancer had progressed rapidly. Unfortunately, there was absolutely nothing that could be done. We were told that her bone was in danger of snapping at any time. At that time, the family made an appointment to assist her in crossing the rainbow bridge. They were able to take her home for a few days and spoil like every dog deserved prior to that appointment. We received word Sunday that she was no longer in pain. Lelia will be cremated so she can be with her family forever.

This is never the news any pet parent wants to hear. The family expressed their sincere gratitude that we were able to assist them financially and emotionally.

Thank you for allowing us to continue to help when needed. We truly appreciate your support.

THANK YOU!

We would like to say THANK YOU to Melissa, A***n and Ellie for helping to bag pet food on Thursday evening. Pictured is a portion of what we packaged. We delivered approximately the same amount to the multiple Community Cupboards on Friday.

We also want to say thank you to those who continue to donate both dog and cat food. We are helping to feed so many in need.

THANK YOU

We absolutely adore our supporters. We appreciate everything that each of you do to make it possible for us to help dogs in need. The fact of the matter is that without you, we simply could not exist.

We received a letter the other day. Inside the envelope was $40.00 and one of the nicest, most sincere letters we could ever dream of receiving. What makes this even more special is that this young lady has a job. The money that was enclosed was money that she earned on her own. She chose to share with us so that we could help a dog in need. That is pure selflessness. Kristin Mooney, you are one special young lady.

As we say in every post, every single person we interact with, no matter what the circumstance, is appreciated. YOU are the reason we are able to do what we do.
