At last week’s Take It To The Top event, these softball players shared some of their biggest takeaways from the night, especially lessons on teamwork, leadership, encouragement, and supporting one another both on and off the field.

What an incredible night with the Lakeland Girls Softball League! As these young ladies prepare for their State Tournament journey, we had the opportunity to bring together mentorship, movement, mindset, and community through our Take It To The Top Workshop.

This wasn’t just about softball. It was about helping young athletes understand that confidence, resilience, self-belief, and mental toughness can be the difference-maker when the pressure is on. We wanted every player to leave knowing they are more than just athletes—they are leaders, teammates, daughters, and future difference-makers. A huge thank you to Lakeland Girls Softball League for believing in our mission and allowing us to invest in your athletes and families. Your commitment to developing strong young women on and off the field is exactly what community is all about.

🏆 R2Cares Honor Spotlight: Coach Brown 🏆

At R2Cares, we believe in honoring those who use their platform to create impact far beyond the game, and today we proudly recognize Coach Brown of Edward Waters College.

Coach Brown is more than a coach—he is a leader, mentor, and servant to his community. Through his organization, Married to the Game, he continues to pour into the next generation, helping young people develop not only as athletes but as individuals prepared to lead in life. His commitment to mentorship, character development, and community empowerment reflects everything we stand for at R2Cares.

This season, Coach Brown led his program on an incredible championship run, a testament to the culture, discipline, and belief he instills in those around him every day. Championships are earned through hard work, but true success is measured by the lives impacted along the way—and Coach Brown is winning in both areas.
