Successful search-and-rescue and disaster response missions depend on more than aircraft and equipment. They require skilled personnel, effective communication and the ability to operate seamlessly across Civil Air Patrol wings and with mission partners.

Operation Steadfast Eagle brought together Civil Air Patrol's Florida and Tennessee wings and the U.S. Air Force's 6th Air Refueling Wing at MacDill Air Force Base for a valuable opportunity to put those capabilities into practice. With aircraft and aircrews from both CAP wings participating, the exercise reinforced the importance of coordination and teamwork in preparing for real-world missions.

Our thanks to the pilots, aircrews, mission planners and support personnel from both CAP wings, along with our Air Force partners at MacDill, for their commitment to making this training opportunity a success.

Thanks to Air Force support, CAP has funding available to cover encampment fees and uniforms with an emphasis on serving cadets in need through the Cadet Encampment Assistance Program or CEAP. An inability to afford encampment should not hold back cadets who want to participate in encampment.. Winter CEAP Open from

Colonel Panzera accepts the symbolic check from Representative Linda Cheney for the budget line of 250,000 dollars, Due to the hard work of LtCol Adrian Cuarta and the relationships he has fostered with many Representative Cheney was able, with state senators and other representatives, to see Florida Wing get much needed support. All of this is due to the hard work and efforts of every member of this Wing. It is because of our outstanding support to the communities we serve that the state and nation as a whole benefit. This is seen and now honored by this kind of support. Well done Florida Wing!

NORAD aircraft are conducting a planned live-fly air exercise in support of Operation over Palm Beach, Florida, today.
NORAD F-16s and Civil Air Patrol (CAP) aircraft will participate in the exercise. The CAP aircraft will operate as low as 1,000 feet, and will likely be visible to the public. This exercise supports Operation

To test responses, systems and equipment, NORAD routinely conducts air defense exercises using a variety of scenarios, including airspace restriction violations, hijackings and responding to unknown aircraft. All NORAD exercises are carefully planned and are closely controlled.

The defense of Canada and the United States is NORAD’s top priority; we are on alert 24/7/365. Operation NOBLE EAGLE is the name given to air sovereignty and air defense missions in North America. For more than 65 years, NORAD aircraft have identified and intercepted potential air threats to North America in the ex*****on of our aerospace warning and aerospace control missions.

HURCON Status Update
Florida Wing has returned all Groups to Ops Normal.

Relocation of aircraft and ground vehicles from safe haven sites to home locations will continue for the next couple of days until complete.
