Caregiving can be beautiful, exhausting, joyful, and overwhelming all at the same time.
Enjoy this reading from Ordinary Day & Extraordinary Prayers as Joan shares a passage from the book at The Family Cafe.
May these pages remind you that God sees you, loves you, and walks beside you every step of the way. đź’™

The Family Cafe Conference is happening this weekend at the Hyatt Regency Orlando on International Drive!

This is one of the largest events in Florida for individuals with disabilities and their families, and it’s a great opportunity to connect with resources, learn from experts, and meet others who understand the journey.

Even better, it’s completely free for individuals with disabilities and their family members to attend. The link to register or learn more about the event is in our bio or if you decide to come at the last minute, you can register when you arrive.

We’re also excited to share that Joan and Jerry will be presenting “Preparing for Marriage with a Disability” on Friday, June 12, at 3:30 PM in Bayhill 30. We’d love to see you there!

If you’re attending the conference, be sure to stop by Booth #10 and say hello to our team. And if you can’t make it this year, follow along on our social media pages for photos, updates, and highlights throughout the weekend.

We hope to see you there!

We rejoice with Lamar and grieve with his family, friends and associates. He was a powerful voice in the Church!

The faith of our brother Dr. Lamar Hardwick, has become sight.

“We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters, concerning those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve like the rest, who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, in the same way, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep.”
— 1 Thessalonians 4:13–14 (CSB)

Please join us in praying for Lamar’s wife, children, family, and friends as they walk through this profound loss.

One of the many things Lamar reminded us during his final sermon at the Disability & the Church Conference was:

“When life isn’t going the way you expected, look for where God is still at work — especially among those society sidelines.”

Today we grieve. But we do not grieve without hope. Because of Christ, death does not have the final word.

The Savior, Christ Jesus our Lord, whom Lamar faithfully proclaimed throughout his life and ministry, has now welcomed him home:

“Well done, good and faithful servant.” (Matthew 25:23)

Until that day when faith becomes sight for all who belong to Christ.
