A very special Salon Day at Henderson Bay High School!
This was Robin Malich’s final Salon Day before retiring as a CISP Site Coordinator—and it was extra special.
With the help of incredible volunteers, a classroom was transformed into a full salon experience—massages, hair washing, cuts, and styling—giving seniors a confidence boost as they head into their next chapter.
As Robin shared:
“Salon Day has always been my favorite day at HBHS… it’s the pure joy for students and the generosity of volunteers that make it so special.”
A huge thank you to the amazing volunteers who make this day possible each year—and to Robin for 12 years of dedication, care, and impact in the lives of her students.

Our CISP Site Coordinators show up every day for the students they support—and it really shows.
One of the seniors shared what CISP meant to her this year:
✨ “It doesn’t hurt to ask for help… having someone there makes a huge difference.”
✨ “I’m proud of passing my classes and not giving up during my senior year—CISP was with me the whole way.”
✨ “Having an adult I can count on means everything.”
Next up: Olympic College for nursing! 🎓
This is what happens when students feel supported.

The Wonders of Differences
What an incredible, student-led event at Marcus Whitman Middle School! With support from CISP Site Coordinator Charlotte, this student brought an inspiring vision to life.
One courageous 7th grader led the way—sharing a powerful message about not judging others based on appearance.

Marcus Whitman’s MWMS Showcase—Celebrating Excellence was a night to remember! Students shared their talents, families connected, and Charlotte was there to highlight how we support students every day.
Such a meaningful reminder—and such an inspiring night!

What a sweet way to wrap the year!
Evergreen Elementary celebrated the end of their CISP Little Eagles after-school reading program with an ice cream social—full of smiles, joy, and well-earned treats!
A huge thank you to our mentors and students who showed up week after week—you made this program so special.
We’re also saying goodbye to two incredible women who have made a lasting impact:
Jenn Martin, one of CISP's dedicated After-School Program Coordinator, has poured years of heart into the Little Eagles Program, making it a special place for students and mentors week after week.
Tricia Endsley, Evergreen’s CISP Site Coordinator—thank you for returning to the CISP family and giving so much to your community. You will be deeply missed!
Thank you both for everything you’ve done to support students and families.

Who are CISP Site Coordinators?
They are VISIONARIES.
At Communities In Schools of Peninsula, our Site Coordinators do more than support students, they see them. They recognize potential when others may not. They build relationships, remove barriers, and help students believe in what’s possible.
From basic needs and tutoring to encouragement and life-changing connections, they show up—every single day, with empathy, care, and commitment.
As Jennifer Albertson, Site Coordinator at Sidney Glen Elementary, beautifully shares:
“We see potential when others give up… helping students foster unnoticed sparks into motivation and drive. You are important. You can come to us—to replace your broken shoes, fill your belly, or have a conversation to prove you matter and are seen. We are here to help you discover the confidence to take charge of your story.”
