It started with 10 teenagers. They gathered at their school flagpoles to pray. They didn't know how far their prayers would go. Decades later, students around the world continue gathering to do the same. Never underestimate what God can do through a few students who are willing to pray. Your school could be next!

On Sunday, August 16th, about 180 people gathered to witness twenty-nine people publicly declare their faith in Jesus Christ by identifying with Him in his death, burial, and resurrection through water baptism. The following thirteen from CLCBC have decided to follow Jesus: Diana Benitez, Cailey Benitez, Ella Benitez, Christine Bugayong, Dylan Bugayong, Evan Bugayong, Sean Christensen, Anya Christensen, Christina Lacy, Madalynn Lacy, Andie Lucus, Kendall Krashoc, and Bella Strok.

At least half of the sixteen people baptized by Rebaño leadership have come to trust Jesus as their Savior through the 2:00 PM Spanish-language service at CLCBC. It is an amazing testimony to see how God has worked in just four months, leading so many to take this important step of faith through baptism. Happy Independence Day! This Sunday, July 5th, as we mark 250 years of liberty, we reflect on the words of our sixth president, John Quincy Adams, spoken on July 4, 1837, the sixty-first anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Even more importantly, we consider the words of Isaiah and Jesus that shaped Adams and his vision for our nation, a vision that calls us to “Announce the Good News” and heed Jesus’ message in Luke 4:16–20.
