Habitat for Humanity of Southern Brazoria County

We've been building since 1991. We have completed 119 homes locally. Habitat's first headquarters was opened by Millard and Linda Fuller in 1976.

Currently we are working on House House #120 in Angleton and getting ready for House #121 in Lake Jackson Habitat for Humanity International is a nonprofit, nondenominational Christian housing organization. They decided that they were going to open an organization in which they would build particular kinds of homes, and partner with low-income families to build the homes.

🏠❤️ Meet Habitat Board President Bill Lewis ❤️🏠

Today we're shining the spotlight on Bill Lewis, our current President of the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity of Southern Brazoria County!

Bill doesn't just lead from the boardroom—he leads by example. If you've volunteered on one of our build sites, there's a good chance Bill was right there beside you swinging a hammer, teaching a skill, or helping get the job done. He is always willing to step up wherever needed to help Habitat families achieve their dream of homeownership.

And behind every great volunteer is another great volunteer! Bill's wife, Joyce, is always willing to help when Habitat calls. During the construction of House #121, Joyce stepped in on short notice to coordinate meals for our volunteers. Thanks to her efforts, our volunteers enjoyed amazing meals and nobody left the build site hungry!

Now it's Bill's turn to ask for your help! 😊

🏠❤️ Behind Every Habitat Home Is a Team of Amazing Volunteers ❤️🏠

Today, we're shining the spotlight on Mary Gomez, one of our dedicated Habitat for Humanity Board Members!

While Mary has faithfully served on the Board for many years, her commitment goes far beyond attending meetings. If you've visited one of our build sites, chances are you've seen Mary working in our Hospitality Tent—making sure volunteers have breakfast, lunch, cold drinks, and plenty of encouragement throughout the day.

Our volunteers help build the houses, but Mary helps take care of the people building them. From early mornings to long build days, she is always ready to lend a hand and make everyone feel welcome.

Now it's time to help Mary! 😊

Please help us welcome Matthew "Matt" Allen to the Habitat for Humanity of Southern Brazoria County Board of Directors!

Matt joined our Board in May and is one of three outstanding new board members who have stepped up to help us continue our mission of building affordable homes for local families. Matt is a Partner at Cordoba Law Firm, PLLC, and we are excited to have his leadership, experience, and passion for our community.

One of the best things about Habitat for Humanity is bringing new people into our mission, and this year we are excited to welcome Matt Allen, Ronnie Martin, and Bruce Lewis to our Board of Directors!
