Aloha Ranch: Rebuilding Lives After the Lahaina Fire
I talk about my nonprofit, Aloha Ranch, and how we've been serving the homeless community in Lahaina since. After the devastating fire on August 8, 2023, the homeless population exploded from a few hundred to over 5,000 people, with 2,200 structures lost. For a year, survivors were moved between hotels, and many had to leave the island or separate their families. When they finally moved into new homes, most had almost nothing. So far, we've helped 376 families by providing essential household items like furniture, linens, kitchenware, and cleaning supplies to help them rebuild their lives. Our team is 100% volunteer-driven, and we'd love your support.
